Cowell and Cole quit UK X Factor?
A tabloid has claimed that judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have decided not to take part in the next series of ‘The X Factor’ in the UK.
The News of the World says Cowell and Cole, tipped to work together on his US version of the show, have told ITV bosses that they would not have the time to appear on both programmes.
Cowell is quoted by “a friend” as saying: “I’m committed to the American show and I’m not going to do both.”
A source told the paper: “Simon would have to produce two big shows at the same time and he and Cheryl would have to mentor and judge acts in both countries. It would just be too much for them.”
Cowell appeared to say last week in a US interview that he would still appear on both shows.
Cheryl Cole has reportedly snubbed former The X Factor contestants Alexandra Burke and Olly Murs , by asking not to be seated with them at The 2011 BRIT Awards next month.
According to the Daily Star, Chezza has requested to be sat separately from the XF alumni because she wants to be recognised as a “successful solo artist” and not just a talent show judge who is pals with Simon Cowell.
The Girls Aloud singer, who has been nominated for two gongs at the star-studded bash, is said to have made it clear that she wants to be acknowledged for her music and for being a star in her own right.
A BRITs source told the newspaper: “Cheryl has had a fantastic year professionally. And quite rightfully she would love to be recognised for her musical achievements solely. She’s made it clear she would prefer not to be with the X Factor stars.”
“Cheryl doesn’t mean to be picky but she’s asked not to be seated at the same table as Alexandra Burke or Olly Murs. She wants to walk down the red carpet by herself and be pictured by herself as a solo musician. She is a true star.”
The insider added: “She loves Alexandra and is very proud of Olly but would prefer not to be grouped with the X Factor crew so she can be set apart and treated as a performer.”
The X Factor 2010 is over for another year but ITV2 have been showing ‘Best & Worst’ auditions of the series. Check out this unseen X Factor audition clip that was recently aired on ITV2. Cheryl is so kind to the guy i just had to post it.
Osbourne slams Cheryl’s chances of US X Factor success
Sharon Osbourne has cast doubt on Cheryl Cole’s chances of making it big in the US and said Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger would be better for US X Factor.
Sharon, 58, said: ‘Cheryl’s perfect for England – she’s the nation’s sweetheart and they absolutely love her.
‘But over here [in the US] it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.
‘Nicole’s great TV, has a huge following here in the States and people absolutely love her. Plus she’s beautiful and talented.’
Meow!
But the former X Factor judge did not rule out 27-year-old Cole’s chances completely, telling Now magazine: ‘It takes a long time to make it in the States because it’s so huge. I think she’s made the right decision to move out here. She couldn’t just come over and do a show then pootle off.’
Referring to Cheryl’s close friendship with Simon Cowell, Sharon added: ‘She probably looks at him as the father figure she never had. Simon absolutely adores her and you can tell that by the way he looks at her.
‘Cheryl reminds me of Bambi. She’s got these big, brown, beautiful eyes and you just want to stroke her.’
She said Cowell liked to be surrounded by young, pretty women, adding: ‘I think Simon needs his young girls beside him, like Nicole Scherzinger. If you were king of the world like he is, would you want ugly women around you? He’s not going to want someone with no teeth and psoriasis – that’s why he has beautiful girls around him.’
Sharon has been linked with a judge’s role on Britain’s Got Talent but said: ‘There’s been talk but not from Simon. I’d be there in a heartbeat.’
This weekend is the finals of The X Factor 2010. This is the first part where all acts sing 2 songs, one of their choice plus a duet with a high profile singer.
Rebecca sung with Christina Aguilera, and Cher sang with Will.i.am! Unfortuneatly, Cher had the least amount of votes from the public and was sent home.

CHERYL Cole reckons Dannii Minogue’s X Factor 2010 multi-tasking has been outstanding.
Speaking at the X Factor 2010 press conference this afternoon, Cheryl Cole said she admired Dannii Minogue hugely for combining being a new mum with being a judge.
She said: “I’ve got a huge amount of admiration this year for Dannii just having a baby.
“She’s literally breast feeding one second and on set the next and I think she looks absolutely incredible and she is a gorgeous woman and I admire her a lot.”
An embarrassed Dannii said she wished she had a button so she could disappear under the table but added that she’s had a great time being a judge and new mum to Ethan.
She said: “It has been a real laugh and yep the baby is backstage the whole time.”
