Kimberley Walsh has finally joined Twitter!

She was given a welcome by bandmate Nicola Roberts who tweeted early this morning:

After nearly 2 hrs, Kimberley has accumulated over 7,000 followers.

She has yet to tweet, follow or change her profile picture, but we can’t wait for that ‘egg’ to hatch!

Most of you know by now that Cheryl Cole’s Official Twitter page is @CherylCole

I wont post her tweets all the time here, same with Nicola’s or Nadine’s (Sarah and Kimberley don’t have twitter yet) but i thought her tweets were too lovely not to miss out.

Last night Cheryl found herself watching Hollyoaks Later on E4, where you might remember Amy, Kimberley’s sister is starring in. Amy plays Mercedes McQueen’s sister Jenifique in the spin-off show.

Just watched Amy Walsh on Hollyoaks later.. Finding it hard to wrap my head around her playing someone else but feel sooo proud of her!

That tweet had a few of the cast tweeting their excitement that Cheryl had watched them. Its funny how we don’t realise celebs are normal and watch TV just like us, curled on the couch with a tea and hobnobs!

It was previously confirmed that the Girls Aloud singer was releasing ‘Put Your Hands Up’ as her second single later this month. However, writing on Twitter, Coyle – who released her material on her own record label Black Pen Records – admitted that the news had left plans for another release uncertain.

Asked by a fan if she has a release date, she responded: “None yet dear. I am getting organised for the next phase. Boss lady is hard.

“As soon as I am back on the single movement I will let you know. I have changed management so things take time.”

The 25-year-old did not confirm who is now looking after her. Her former manager Bruce Garfield commented on Twitter: “Finally a ‘warm’ day in NY. Fuelled by an array of new opportunities as I reflect and journalise the past few years. Life is grand.”

Cheryl Cole says she won’t join Twitter like her showbiz rival Victoria Beckham because she wants ‘a life’.

She admits to having a sneaky look at her bandmates’ micro-blogging sites but insists: ‘I’m not going to start tweeting. I want a life.

‘It’s like a personal tracking device. It’s not good if you’re constantly tapping. It’s like stalker-book. I told Kimberley to do it just so I could see. I would read other peoples.’

For now, just dealing with her BlackBerry messages and e-mails is enough for the Girls Aloud and X Factor star to handle.

‘I feel like I’ve already got square eyes and that’s without Twitter. It’s like a crackberry,’ she said.
