Cher Lloyd: ‘I was blessed with Cheryl’
Cher Lloyd has praised her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole last night, despite becoming the first act eliminated from this year’s final.
The 17-year-old from Malvern said that she felt honoured to get to work with the Girls Aloud star every week on the show.
“I was blessed. It was perfect,” she said on The Xtra Factor. “She understood me, I think. More as a friend… someone I could talk to if I was having a bad day.”
Speaking about comparisons between her and Cole, she added: “Do you know what? I’m my own person. I’m very different. I’m flattered to be compared, but I am my own person.”
Lloyd also revealed that she is backing Matt Cardle to go on and win the ITV1 show.
CHERYL Cole has landed a £3million deal to be a judge on the American version of The X Factor.
The Geordie beauty, 27, has been told she has won the race to join show guru Simon Cowell in the States next year.
An American source said: “The execs love her good looks and the way she wears her heart on her sleeve.”
The deal could be a golden ticket to world superstardom, pals said last night. The one-year contract will make her a household name on both sides of the Atlantic.
She has already secured a deal to release her second solo album Messy Little Raindrops in the States next year. Helping launch The X Factor there may well make it a global hit — earning her millions more in extra sales and promotional work.
A source said: “It’s a dream come true.”
Cheryl met with bigwigs from US network Fox in London and Los Angeles in recent weeks. But she has been back in Britain beside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue for the X Factor climax.
Fox bosses were in London to watch her in action on Saturday night before they finally rubber-stamped the deal.
Cowell then broke the news to Cheryl. The US TV source revealed: “Cheryl was absolutely delighted.
This is the fifth results show of this years X Factor and probably the most dramatic ‘exits’ so far! Katie and TreyC both found themselves in the bottom two. Cheryl failed to vote for either of them to go (hasnt happened in the shows history), and TreyC is voted out by the other judges. No surprise that today’s headlines are full of X Factor stories.

This is the forth results show of this years X Factor. Again, Katie Waissel found herself in the bottom 2 along with Belle Amie. After the singoff, the judges couldnt decide who to keep, so it went to deadlock. This was by public vote, and fortuneatly for Katie, Belle Amie had the least votes.
Cheryl still has all 4 girls in her group, yay!

Posting this a bit delayed as ive been out. This is the third results show of this years X Factor. One of Cheryl’s act’s, TreyC was in the bottom 2 by the public vote, but was fortuneatly saved by the judges after the sing off. Louis lost another of his acts, John.

Cheryl Cole sets pulses racing with sexy performance
Weeks spent dishing out frank assessments of performers’ live singing ability mean Cheryl Cole’s own voice has a lot to live up to.
But last night she ruled out the possibility of anyone finding fault by miming most of her X Factor performance.
After initially denying that she had mimed any of the song, show insiders finally admitted that she lip-synched almost the entire song, apart from singing a small amount live in the middle.
Fans were a little more black and white. They took to the internet to say they were convinced that the Girls Aloud singer mimed her vocals during last night’s performance.
What fans at home were not told is that her entire performance was recorded before the show started. It appeared to viewers that she was performing the song live. But in reality her routine had been recorded in front of the studio audience about an hour before the show began.
The performance represented Miss Cole’s singing comeback coming just three months after she nearly died from malaria.
The 27-year-old was given a massive platform to promote her new single Promise This and the new album on last night’s show.
Given how stricken the singer was in the summer, the performance still represented an amazing comeback for the star.
She was given a rapturous applause from the studio audience and looked to be relieved to have completed her return when she finished the song.
Miss Cole donned a white jacket, stripey stockings, a tutu and boots for the routine and was joined by an army of dancers as she jumped around the stage.
With her hair dyed red she was surrounded by dancers in black suits with kipper ties who were seen praying behind her for the routine.
Her performance came on the same show that singer John Adeleye become the latest contestant to be voted off.
