Cheryl Cole goes dotty for X Factor
CHERYL Cole went dotty at the US X Factor auditions yesterday – and finally stole the spotlight from fellow judge Paula Abdul.
The Geordie looked like butter wouldn’t melt in a wholesome polka dot smock and a pair of spotty navy blue wedge heels.
And Cheryl, 27, seemed happy to take centre stage as she and the other judges arrived at the try outs in Chicago.
She waved and laughed as she posed for snappers outside the Sears Convention Center.
And the Girls Aloud star was clearly going for the cutesy look – as opposed to Paula, 48.
She opted to flash her impressive pins in a sexy animal print miniskirt, which she teamed up with a floral print long-sleeved top.
But boss Simon Cowell, 51, seemed pleased with both of their wardrobe choices and gave a thumbs up to the crowds outside.
He recently declared that the pair were getting on famously – after TV Biz told that they had agreed a pact to annoy Simon.
The music mogul said: “They get on great. Cheryl adores Paula.
“She’s never worked with her before and I’d always spoken about how much fun she was so there’s a bit of a love fest going on at the moment between those two, but that will soon change.”
Cheryl Cole upsets US fans by sitting next to Simon Cowell
Singer Cheryl Cole has reportedly upset US fans by sitting next to Simon Cowell on the US X Factor panel.
The 27-year-old star recently joined the line-up on the show alongside Cowell and his former American Idol co-star Paula Abdul as well as music producer LA Reid.
It’s claimed fans are upset that Cole has taken the seat next to Cowell leaving Abdul further down the panel line.
A source said to Britain’s MailOnline: ‘The fans are angry because Cheryl is sitting next to Simon. They call Paula and Simon ‘Saula’ and think that Cheryl is splitting them up.’
However Cole has made a popular start with US fans.
The source added: ‘Cheryl is still proving a hit and winning over lots of fans. Paula has taken it on the chin and her and Cheryl have been ganging up on Simon and LA Reid.’
Its Official! Cheryl Cole is a judge on The US X Factor
Its finally been confirmed after months and months of speculation and hype, Cheryl Cole has landed a top job as a judge on the US X Factor. She will join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the judging panel of the show and she cannot wait to get started.
Cheryl says “I’m so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor.
I absolutely love it here in the UK, and with the talent they have out in America, I’m sure we’re going to find someone very special. I can’t wait to get started.
I just can’t decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me.
He’s tried to beat me for three years in the UK, and hasn’t even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this.”
Simon, who has worked alongside Cheryl for 3 years on the UK version of The X Factor said “I’m thrilled for Cheryl. She is massively excited about this show, and has been fantastic to work with. She is also a complete brat! Most importantly, this girl can spot talent.”
Auditions start this Sunday 8th May through till 26th May. The show will be shown on FOX channel in America AND also on ITV2 in the UK!

Nicola Roberts: I couldn’t be on the X Factor like Cheryl
Nicola Roberts has revealed that she could never be a judge on a TV show, like her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole, as she hated it when she gave it a go.
The red haired singer, 25, was once a judge on a fashion show but admitted that she didn’t enjoy the experience and wouldn’t do it again.
She told Company magazine: ‘I did a bit of judging for Britain’s Next Top Model and I hated it. I could see the girls getting upset and I remembered what it was like when I was in their position.
‘You can’t be b****y or flippant – I find it difficult to criticise, I mean, who am I to judge? No, that’s Cheryl’s job.’
Roberts also touched on her relationship with her Girls Aloud bandmates, claiming that although they don’t plan on recording together in the foreseeable future, they’re still as close as family.
‘Cheryl and Kimberley (Walsh) are like my sisters,’ she said. ‘But we don’t get to see Sarah as much as we’d like because she lives in Buckinghamshire.’
She added: ‘As soon as we’re together, it’s like we’ve never been apart.’
The Lincolnshire-born star didn’t comment on her relationship with Nadine Coyle, often seen as the outcast of the group, but said her and the other girls liked to relax and watch soap operas when they’re together.
She said: ‘We’ll have a night in dressed in trackies or PJs, with rubbish hair and no make-up.
‘We stock up on oven chips, chicken nuggets, olives and sweets, and put on EastEnders, which we then just talk over all night!’
The votes are in and have been counted and verified. Matt Cardle, Dannii Minogue’s act has been crowned winner of The X Factor 2010. Rebecca Ferguson came in 2nd place. Congrats to Matt, and unfortuneatly for Cheryl, she did not get her hat-trick win as a judge. But im sure you will agree, Cheryl’s acts will do well for themselves in 2011.
