Cheryl Cole looked every inch the fighter as she performed a ‘ninja’ routine for her No.1 single Fight For This Love. The 26-year-old X Factor judge opted for an Oriental-style dress, slashed daringly to the thighs, with her recently chopped hair in a tight bun. The outfit is a pink take on the military red outfit that she wore to perform the single for the first time on X Factor. She was filming a one-off TV special, Cheryl Cole’s Night In, which will air on Saturday before the first of the final’s two shows. Her fighting spirit will certainly come in handy on Saturday night as she battles with fellow judges Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue to take the top spot. Girls Aloud singer Cheryl took three hours to film the first half of the 60-minute special, which sees her perform just two songs and chat to guests. A fan who was watching the performance – for which Cheryl is believed to be getting £100,000 – told The Sun: ‘There were sequences to re-do and outfits to change. She kept apologising.’ Cheryl’s husband Ashley Cole was in the audience, singing along and blowing kisses as he watched. Joe McElderry was also there, taking performance tips from his mentor, and of course getting a helpful boost over his rivals in terms of airtime. Another costume change saw Cheryl slip into a stunning black gown with flowing trail. She also found time to chat to Xtra Factor presenter Holly Willoughby. * Cheryl’s Night In, a one-off special, will air on ITV on Saturday night at 6.30pm, ahead of the X Factor Source: Daily Mail |

ITV1 has confirmed plans to air a Cheryl Cole special. Over the weekend, reports surfaced which suggested that the Girls Aloud star had landed her own show. ITV1 has since announced that the one-off special, titled Cheryl Cole’s Night In, will broadcast later this year. The programme will see the X Factor judge perform songs from her recent solo release ‘3 Words’, as well as feature appearances from acts including Rihanna, Will Young, Alexandra Burke and will.i.am. “2009 has been an incredible year for me with a number one single and a number one album and being part of The X Factor,” Cole said. “And I couldn’t be happier that ITV have asked me to round off the year with my own show, working with some of my favourite artists.” ITV1’s controller of entertainment John Kaye Cooper added: “Cheryl started her journey on ITV1 on Popstars: The Rivals and we’re delighted that she now has her own special on the same channel. It’s just testament to her very special talent.” Source: DigitalSpy |
