A smiling Cheryl Cole appears to be putting the troubles of the past year firmly behind her.

The singer let her hair down with friend Will.i.am last night at an after party following her live performance in Cannes, for which she was paid a fee of £250,000.

Despite previous denials of any romance between them, she could not hide her growing closeness to the Black Eyed Peas singer, a self-confessed admirer.

He had dashed back from the World Music Awards in Monaco to play a DJ set at the after party – and was rewarded with cuddles and a dance.

After changing out of her stunning fishtail Cavalli gown, Cheryl dressed down in an orange £2,205 Julien McDonald minidress, and spent the rest of the evening partying by the rapper’s side in the DJ booth.

The singer performed a two-hour set. And the couple danced, cuddled and posed together for photos.
There has been speculation about the pair’s growing friendship, fuelled by his comments that she was the ‘most beautiful woman in the world’.

Sarah Harding is currently in Cannes, and last night she partied at the Belvedere Vodka Party.

When Sarah was asked if her and Cheryl were going to meet up (due to Cheryl being at the de Grisogono Dinner Party), she claimed “I didn’t know Cheryl was arriving until yesterday.”

She also revealed new plans to be a film producer rather than an actor.

“Coming to Cannes and seeing what crap films are on the market has made me think I could make something a lot better.”

Bringing her gorgeousness to the French Riviera, Cheryl Cole was the center of attention at the Hotel du Cap in Cannes on Tuesday night (May 18).

The 26-year-old singer donned a black tulle, strapless Roberto Cavalli dress as she readied for her performance at the swanky de Grisogono Dinner Party.

Spending much of the evening alongside de Grisogono founder Fawaz Gruosi, Miss Cole was paid a whopping $360,000 paycheck for her 30-minute stage duties.

Along with the cash, Cheryl was also clad in her new de Grisogono jewelry gifts – as she was bestowed a boule diamond bracelet and earrings which insiders tell are worth “hundreds of thousands of pounds”.
