Today, news broke that Nadine had been linked to this years Celebrity Big Brother. The Daily Mail claimed that she had been offered 500k and it was an offer she couldn’t refuse.
However, her manager and Nadine herself has denied this story on their twitter pages:
RT: @thomasmartinusa: FYI… @NadineCoyleNow has not been confirmed for CBB…currently in the studio in LA working on new solo material.
RT: @NadineCoyleNow: Another pile of rubbish written AGAIN in the UK attaching my name. They live in a fantasy world and create characters. I am not playing.
Every year this story comes out but im glad Nadine has twitter to clear her name.
Nadine supports Derry-Londonderry sailors for the Clipper Race
Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle flew into San Francisco Bay this evening from Los Angeles for a whistle stop visit to meet up with sailors from her home town of Derry-Londonderry who are promoting the Northern Irish city in the 40,000 miles Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
“It was brilliant to meet the crew,” said Nadine after negotiating the deck of the 68ft Clipper Race yacht in high heels, short black dress and red race jacket given to her by crew to protect her from the late afternoon rain in Jack London Square, Oakland.
“It’s amazing they have been part of the Clipper Race for so long and here they are in San Francisco Bay – well done to them all,” added Nadine.
Derry-Londonderry yacht skipper Mark Light introduced Nadine to the crew and gave her a tour of the yacht. “It was fantastic to welcome her aboard the Derry-Londonderry yacht. She was very enthusiastic about the Clipper Race and had great admiration for the crew who were thrilled she’d taken the time out to come along and wish us luck.”
Nadine then joined the crew and guests at a reception overlooking the yacht to showcase Derry-Londonderry’s ‘Legenderry’ story to help boost trade and tourism in the city ahead of becoming the UK’s first City of Culture in 2013.
Councillor Martin Reilly from Derry City Council said, “The Clipper Race is a wonderful opportunity to promote Derry around the globe and to develop tourism to encourage the wider public to come and visit Derry in 2012 and 2013.”
The Clipper Race is the world’s longest at 40,000 miles and is ‘raced by people like you’ – ordinary people who do something extraordinary by taking on the challenge of a lifetime. The fleet leaves on Saturday for Race 10 to Panama.
The Clipper Race arrives in Derry-Londonderry at the end of June and the completes its circumnavigation in Southampton on Sunday 22 July just days before the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
GETTING all of Girls Aloud in the same room is more challenging than the dance routine to their hit Biology.
But yesterday afternoon in a London hotel, the girlband reunited with estranged member Nadine Coyle.
The top-secret meeting was planned to thrash out details of the hugely anticipated Girls Aloud comeback tour.
Plus, it was to give the other girls — Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts — the opportunity to iron out any problems with Nadine, who has been cut off from the rest of the group since they last performed together in 2009.
A source said: “The girls have been trying to organise a meeting for months but have been so busy with solo projects.
“They were really excited to see each other — even though Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley meet up regularly.
“They haven’t seen much of Sarah recently following her stint in rehab and Nadine has been out of the picture living in LA.
“Nadine was eager to speak to the girls face-to-face to ensure there is no bad blood.”
Since the band supported Jay-Z at Wembley, they have been concentrating on solo projects — with varying degrees of success.
The band celebrate their tenth anniversary at the end of this year and hoped to mark the milestone by going back on tour in early 2013 — and possibly bring out new material.
They could bag millions with an arena tour.
And following high-profile break-ups, single members Cheryl, Sarah and Nadine won’t have any distractions on the bloke front.
They could even go on the pull together. It would be just like the old days.
Nadine Coyle confirms a Girls Aloud ‘comeback tour’ for early 2013!
Nadine Coyle has spoken out and confirmed a Girls Aloud comeback for early 2013!
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror’s columnist Dean Piper, Nadine revealed:
It’s time to come back. At the end of the year it would have been ten years and it feels like the right time to regroup.
“I know everyone’s been speculating about what we will do. It will be arena dates at the start of next year and we will have new music to go with it.
“One or two singles I would think. It depends on how well it goes with the tour announcement. If things work well, there’s enough demand and we’re all in the same head space as a band then who knows what could happen.
“I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the girls. It’s been a long time since we’ve all been in the same room together.
She once again stated that she has not fallen out with the other girls:
I’ve been really worried about Sarah and I’m glad to see she’s getting better,” Nadine added. “But the truth is there’s no big problem with me and the girls. I’ve been living here and not been home much and I have a life here now.
“I’m thrilled Kimberley’s doing well on the West End and Cheryl and Nicola are working hard on their music.
“Everyone was so keen to put Cheryl and me against each other – but we just weren’t enemies. We are very different people musically, that’s all.
