Kimberley Walsh ‘waiting for a proposal’
By the time Girls Aloud reform they might be mums, says Bradford pop star Kimberley Walsh.
And she’s dropped her heaviest hints yet that she’s ready and waiting for boyfriend Justin Scott to pop the big question.
In an interview in the March edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, out today, Kimberley – from Sandy Lane – says that the extended break by the band while they pursue other projects does not mean Girls Aloud is over and done with.
She says: “No way. I don’t think we’ll ever officially break up, to be honest. We’ll definitely tour again. Who knows – we might even have babies on board next time!”
Although Kimberley, 29, says she isn’t rushing into marriage, she is leaving the ball in the former Triple 8 singer’s court.
She says: “I’m quite traditional so I’ll probably be waiting for him to pop the question, but because he’s so laid-back I could be waiting a little while. I’m not at the point where I’m like, ‘I wish he’d hurry up and do it’.”
SARAH Harding has vowed that marriage will not stop her partying.
Our favourite caner might be taking a huge leap into wedded bliss, but she’s going to stay true to form.
Sarah, 29, told us: “I promise I won’t become a boring married person. Have you ever known me to be boring?
“I can’t imagine a lot will change when I get married. We’re pretty much a married couple anyway, so I can’t see why I will behave any differently.”
The newly-engaged Girls Aloud babe, who has been dating fiancé Tom Crane for more than three years, was at the MTV Staying Alive Foundation dinner in London’s Westbury Hotel.
Sarah revealed she might become an honorary Goss girl and dye her platinum blonde hair brunette.
“I’ve been thinking about it,” she said. “Actually I’d quite like to dye my hair black, I fancy a change.”
Meanwhile her close friend and bandmate Cheryl Cole, 27, told us she can’t wait to start helping Sarah plan her wedding.
Cheryl giggled: “I’d love to help Sarah find her wedding dress but she is so picky.”
And Chezza stayed tight-lipped about the wedding party. She told us: “I don’t know if I’ll be a bridesmaid, she hasn’t made any decisions yet.”
Kimberley Walsh is too “laid-back” to get married.
The Girls Aloud beauty – who has been with boyfriend Justin Scott for six years – admits she is ready to walk down the aisle but neither she nor her partner are organised enough to plan their nuptials.
She said: “I think we’ve both been ready to get married for a while, we’re both just too laid-back to bother actually doing it. We will get round to it.”
Though she is ready to get married, Kimberley is in no hurry to start a family with Justin in the near future.
She told Britain’s more! magazine: “I’m always a bit broody. But I’m not ready to have kids myself. I should probably get the record straight that I’m not going to be doing it any time soon.”
Kimberley admits she always saw herself married with children before she was 30, and though it hasn’t happened yet, she isn’t disappointed because her career has been so fulfilling.
She added: “I think everybody when they’re younger thinks they’ll be married with kids when they’re 30, but then it’s here and you think, ‘Oh actually, it’s fine.’ I never dreamed I’d achieve so much.”
Nadine Coyle suggested her fiancé should take her name when they marry.
Back in September Girls Aloud singer Nadine announced she was engaged to American footballer Jason Bell, who she has been dating on and off since 2008.
Nadine is thrilled about the engagement, but says she will be upset about losing her maiden name and has teased Jason he should become a Coyle.
“I actually asked Jason if he’d be Mrs Coyle! I was like, ‘How would you feel about changing your name?’ But Jason wasn’t going for it,” she laughed in an interview with more! magazine.
The beautiful singer is very happy with the way both her professional life and her personal life are going right now. She insists she’s found the perfect balance between being a career-woman and having a good home life.
“They’re two separate things. Whenever I do anything career-orientated that’s what I concentrate my mind on, and then when I go home it’s a different thing. I throw myself into my family, cooking or my boyfriend. I always throw myself into everything wholeheartedly,” she enthused.
Cheryl Cole has scrapped plans to write an autobiography because she’s still healing from her recent marriage split, according to a report.
The Girls Aloud singer announced plans earlier this year to release a book of personal photographs documenting the history of her life so far.
Cole was set to write the official tome, titled “Cheryl Cole: My World”, and release it in September. But she has now ditched the book following her split from soccer stud Ashley Cole, according to The People.
A source tells the publication, “Cheryl was all set to write the book – then decided she just couldn’t face talking about her marriage break-up. She has had a hard time of late and is getting her life together, but the time isn’t right to do the book at the moment. She’s adamant she simply can’t do it yet.”
Cole walked out on the sports star earlier this year following allegations he cheated on her with four women and the former couple’s divorce is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
Cheryl Cole’s hope of getting a quickie divorce from Ashley has failed after she was forced to put proceedings on hold while she battled malaria.
The Fight For This Love singer was out of action for six weeks while she fought the disease; it could now take months to finalise her divorce from the Chelsea footballer. Cheryl cited Ashley’s ‘unreasonable behaviour’ when she filed divorce papers in London’s High Court on 26 May.
According to The Mirror, the 27-year-old is holding off on going public with rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough until the divorce has come through.
“Cheryl is remaining upbeat and hopeful [her lawyers] can get a result for her soon,” a friend is quoted as saying. “She’s still hopeful it can be resolved quickly. Every time they go out they can’t hold hands or kiss and cuddle openly like normal couples.
“She and Ashley have had contact recently and things are cordial between them. In her eyes it would be disrespectful to behave like that so soon,” the source explained. “When the divorce is through – or at least when things have progressed more – fine. But in the meantime she’s dead against it. In spite of what’s gone on between them, she believes she has to do things by the book.
“She feels sorry for Derek that the impending divorce is overshadowing their relationship and the way they can behave.” Cheryl and the American dancer have been in Los Angeles for over a week as she resumes work on her second solo album.
Cheryl Cole may receive millions in divorce payout
Cheryl Cole could be set to receive millions in a divorce settlement from husband Ashley.
The X Factor judge and Girls Aloud star was thought to be uninterested in receiving a payout, but The Sun has now suggested otherwise.
Ashley flew out to South Africa with the England squad this week, with the side playing their first World Cup match next Saturday.
But insiders told the news provider he signed papers agreeing to the demands of Cheryl’s lawyers before he left and is now expecting to receive a bill of around £4.5 million.
“He can’t believe she will walk away with nothing,” a source said. “She worked as hard as him for their possessions.”
Cheryl filed for divorce last month after claims Ashley had cheated on her caused a split.
She’s an English girl at heart, born and brought up in a rough area of Newcastle. However, Britain could be about to lose Cheryl Cole to America as she jets off to start a new life in LA…
The Girls Aloud singer is in the process of divorcing her husband, Ashley Cole, and is looking to start a fresh once the separation is complete – with the States as her ideal destination. She is hoping to kickstart her career across the pond, with the help of Simon Cowell and a possible role on the US X Factor.
A source explained to The Sun:
“Cheryl has people looking at houses. She goes into X Factor when she finished the current tour. That takes her up to Christmas. But she is keen to close a chapter and start a new life in America.”
And another insider spoke to the Evening Standard about Simon’s plans for Cheryl…
“She is very close to signing a deal worth millions with Simon. She will be free to pursue her career in America, where Simon is convinced she could be a huge star.”
Simon Cowell is renowned for turning British acts into stars in the States, with Leona Lewis a prime example, so we already have high expectations for Cheryl. The only thing we want know is… what does this mean for Girls Aloud?
