By the time Girls Aloud reform they might be mums, says Bradford pop star Kimberley Walsh.

And she’s dropped her heaviest hints yet that she’s ready and waiting for boyfriend Justin Scott to pop the big question.

In an interview in the March edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, out today, Kimberley – from Sandy Lane – says that the extended break by the band while they pursue other projects does not mean Girls Aloud is over and done with.

She says: “No way. I don’t think we’ll ever officially break up, to be honest. We’ll definitely tour again. Who knows – we might even have babies on board next time!”

Although Kimberley, 29, says she isn’t rushing into marriage, she is leaving the ball in the former Triple 8 singer’s court.

She says: “I’m quite traditional so I’ll probably be waiting for him to pop the question, but because he’s so laid-back I could be waiting a little while. I’m not at the point where I’m like, ‘I wish he’d hurry up and do it’.”

Kimberley Walsh is fighting her broody urges.

The Girls Aloud singer is about to become an aunt, but while she can’t wait to see her pregnant sister’s bump, she plans to fight her own maternal urges because she’s not ready to have kids yet.

She said: “My sister Sally is three months pregnant and I’m really excited. I can’t wait until the baby comes along.

“It will probably make me more broody, but I’ll just have to hold that feeling down as I’m not quite ready for children just yet.”

Kimberley thinks it will be great being an aunt because she will get all the joy from playing with the baby without the sleepless nights.

Writing in her column for Britain’s OK! magazine, she said: “I’ll enjoy all the good bits without the late night feeds and early mornings.”

Kimberley, 28, is also thrilled her Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle has got engaged to NFL player Jason Bell.

Kimberley – who is also joined in the band by Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding – said: “Nadine was the last person I thought would get married. She’s never been the marriage type, so I’m really happy for her that she’s found that place with Jason.”

Kimberly Walsh has claimed that she has only ever had two boyfriends.

The Girls Aloud star told Reveal that she may one day marry her long-term partner, ex-Triple 8 singer Justin Scott.

Walsh said: “I caught the bouquet at my sister’s wedding last weekend, so maybe we’ll wed soon. We’ve been together seven years, we know it will happen eventually.

“I’m a one-guy girl and I’ve never played the field. I’ve only had one previous boyfriend. I’ve just had two good, healthy relationships in my life.”

She added of how her boyfriend is treated in public: “People can be so rude, he can be standing right beside me but some people don’t even acknowledge he’s there. Justin’s all right about it – but I’m not. So I go to things on my own now.”
