Cheryl Cole’s £3m X Factor USA deal
CHERYL Cole has landed a £3million deal to be a judge on the American version of The X Factor.
The Geordie beauty, 27, has been told she has won the race to join show guru Simon Cowell in the States next year.
An American source said: “The execs love her good looks and the way she wears her heart on her sleeve.”
The deal could be a golden ticket to world superstardom, pals said last night. The one-year contract will make her a household name on both sides of the Atlantic.
She has already secured a deal to release her second solo album Messy Little Raindrops in the States next year. Helping launch The X Factor there may well make it a global hit — earning her millions more in extra sales and promotional work.
A source said: “It’s a dream come true.”
Cheryl met with bigwigs from US network Fox in London and Los Angeles in recent weeks. But she has been back in Britain beside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue for the X Factor climax.
Fox bosses were in London to watch her in action on Saturday night before they finally rubber-stamped the deal.
Cowell then broke the news to Cheryl. The US TV source revealed: “Cheryl was absolutely delighted.
This is the seventh live show of this years X Factor. The theme was Beatles week. As seen in our previous post, the show didnt go without drama. We also saw Katie revealing a dramatic new short haircut and getting high praise from the judges.
Cheryl wore a gold armour-inspired short dress.

BLUSHING Cheryl Cole has been hit by the fart factor.
Viewers reckon that while the 27-year-old passed judgement on her act Cher Lloyd, 17, she passed wind as well.
A noise can clearly be heard on a replay of the show on ITV Player, the station’s on-demand service. The incident sparked a host of hilarious Tweets and messages.
Gabriellebc1 tweeted: “Full of hot air then Cheryl? Bloody hilarious!”
A viewer called Mary blogged: “I said to my boyfriend, did she just fart or was it the fire? I’ve been laughing my ass off ever since!!!”
xMaster said: “As there’s no microphone on their ass, who’s to say it wasn’t another judge? It could have been Simon!”
A show insider said: “No-one really believes Cheryl, the nation’s sweetheart, let one rip on live TV. But we can’t work out what the noise is and everyone’s being giggling about it ever since.”

Cheryl Cole faced public backlash when she let Cher Lloyd, 17, through to the live show stages despite her messing up at the X Factor judge’s house.
The Geordie singer was also criticised by a few who thought wildcard choice Treyc should’ve gone through instead of Katie Waissel.
But the Promise This singer’s Girl Aloud bandmate, Kimberley Walsh, has spoken up for her pal in her latest OK! column.
She said: “Surely most people agree that it’s ridiculous how much scrutiny Cheryl’s come under for her choices on The X Factor.
“Cheryl has picked the people she’s excited to work with and feels she can groom and make into a star.”
And Kimberley who showed up to support Cheryl at her jewellery launch recently stands by her words, in fact she thinks the girls could go the whole hog.
She added: “Regardless of what people think of her decision, it is her choice and that’s why she’s the judge.
“I think those girls will be really strong in the competition and people should respect her decision.”

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been spotted with a camera crew outside the home of singer Treyc Cohen.
According to The Express & Star, the X Factor judge posed for photographs and signed autographs at the house in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Cole did not pick Cohen to progress from Judges’ Houses to the live rounds of this year’s show, but her presence at her home has led to speculation that she could be picked as Cole’s ‘wild card’.
Neighbour Helena Harwood, 54, said: “I was in Skegness when a friend called and told me Cheryl Cole was by my house.
“She rang me on Sunday and said she was spotted at the service station by Tamworth as well. Cheryl took a few pictures and signed autographs before she went into Treyc’s house.”
A family member told the newspaper that Cohen was not currently at the home and that she would be taking care of her pets for the foreseeable future.
She refused to comment on claims that Cohen had been chosen as Cole’s wild card but said that she will be watching the show this weekend.
X FACTOR star Diana Vickers has defended Cheryl Cole’s decision to put Cher Lloyd through to the talent show live finals – despite the youngster fluffing her performance at the judges’ houses.
The Geordie singer, 27, has been blasted for choosing Cher, even though the 17-year-old could only sing a few lines of her song as she auditioned in front of Cheryl and Will.i.am.
Diana said: “When you see a spark in someone and you are drawn to them, you should just go with your gut instinct – and that is what Cheryl did.”
Like Cher, Diana lost her voice at one point during the show last year after a bout of tonsillitis, so she was able to sympathise with the frail youngster.
The 19-year-old pop star said: “As a singer, when you’re nervous and under pressure and in a difficult situation, like in the X Factor, you have to put aside that she has a sore throat and accept that she is only human.”
Despite being in support of Cher, Diana is backing painter and decorator Matt Cardle, the current bookies’ favourite.
She said: “I really like Matt – he’s my favourite. I think he will win it! Although you never know for certain at this stage, people grow.”
Kimberley Walsh says Louis should keep his mouth shut
KIMBERLEY Walsh has waded into the latest X Factor 2010 controversy, telling Louis Walsh to keep his mouth shut about Dannii Minogue.
Louis Walsh has reportedly said he wants Sharon Osbourne to replace Dannii Minogue on The X Factor.
But Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh said Louis doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
In her latest OK! column she said: “Louis has said he wants Sharon to replace Dannii as she’s his friend and Dannii’s just an acquaintance.
“Out of respect to Dannii Louis probably shouldn’t be saying that but he doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut, that’s just what he’s like, he’s a nightmare!”
And she reckons the Aussie brunette is a great judge.
She added: “I thought Dannii was really good last year. I agreed with her on a lot of things but she’s just had a baby so might want to take a bit of time out.”
Kimberley reckons Simon Cowell might want to shake things up a bit though. She said: “Simon likes to keep things interesting and he keeps his cards close to his chest so I’d expect him to mix things up a bit – he’s unpredictable!”
