Nadine Coyle splits from Jason Bell
Less than one year after announcing their engagement, Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle and American footballer player Jason Bell have called time on their relationship.
Nadine broke the news to fans on Twitter yesterday, revealing she and the sporting star went their separate ways ‘a few weeks ago,’ but are planning to remain friends.
‘A few weeks ago Jason and I broke up,’ Nadine wrote. ‘We are great friends and decided we are better this way. I’m in NYC working & I love all your support. X’
Despite dating Jason for nearly two years, the singer didn’t seem overly concerned by their break-up.
‘Aside from that, I am having a wonderful time with friends here,’ she later added, alongside pictures of herself enjoying New York nightlife.
The starlet shocked fans in September last year by announcing her engagement to Jason fans live on Radio One.
UNDETERRED after losing out on adopting a Thai orphan, Nadine “Angelina Jolie” Coyle is being a “big sister” to an underprivileged child.
Nads, 25, and fiance Jason Bell will be mentors tending to a child’s physical, emotional and financial support, under a scheme set up by an organisation which pairs responsible adults with disadvantaged kids.
A pal tells me: “Nadine’s seeing it as a trial run for when she and Jason have their own family.
“She was devastated when her plans to adopt a Thai orphan fell through so she’s focusing on the ‘big sister’ scheme.”
Nadine Coyle thinks there are too many “mummy’s boys” in the world.
The gorgeous singer is best known as one fifth of pop group Girls Aloud, along with Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts.
Nadine is proud that she’s a successful career woman, and admits although she’s happy with her American football star fiancé Jason Bell, she doesn’t need a man to survive.
The talented star insists women don’t need men, although she thinks men are often too reliant on the fairer sex.
“Men rely too much on women! Just think of all the mummy’s boys in the world. A woman must be strong and independent,” she claimed.
Nadine announced she was engaged to handsome Jason earlier this year. They have been dating on and off since 2008 and the feisty star has previously joked she would like him to take her name when they wed.
“I actually asked Jason if he’d be Mrs Coyle! I was like, ‘How would you feel about changing your name?’ But Jason wasn’t going for it,” she laughed.
Nadine Coyle suggested her fiancé should take her name when they marry.
Back in September Girls Aloud singer Nadine announced she was engaged to American footballer Jason Bell, who she has been dating on and off since 2008.
Nadine is thrilled about the engagement, but says she will be upset about losing her maiden name and has teased Jason he should become a Coyle.
“I actually asked Jason if he’d be Mrs Coyle! I was like, ‘How would you feel about changing your name?’ But Jason wasn’t going for it,” she laughed in an interview with more! magazine.
The beautiful singer is very happy with the way both her professional life and her personal life are going right now. She insists she’s found the perfect balance between being a career-woman and having a good home life.
“They’re two separate things. Whenever I do anything career-orientated that’s what I concentrate my mind on, and then when I go home it’s a different thing. I throw myself into my family, cooking or my boyfriend. I always throw myself into everything wholeheartedly,” she enthused.
Being engaged seems to be doing wonders for Nadine Coyle’s complexion and the star couldn’t stop giggling as she stepped out with her husband-to-be.
The Girls Aloud star was strolling around Los Angeles with Jason Bell after the couple had enjoyed a romantic lunch together.
And despite her first solo music video failing to make it onto TV after being deemed ‘too sexy’, her career looked to be the last thing on her mind yesterday.
While the Insatiable video is being re-edited to a more appropriate version, Nadine is making the most of her love life.
The 25-year-old made sure to show off her famous pins in a pair of tiny black shorts, which were accompanied by a black vest top and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
NFL player Jason Bell towered above the petite Irish beauty, who he proposed to early last month.

The pretty singer announced her engagement to the NFL footballer after a surprise proposal in Los Angeles and Kimberley can not be happier for them both.
She said: “I’m so happy for Nadine and Jason! Nadine was the last person I thought would get married. She’s never been the marriage type so I’m really happy for her that with Jason she’s found that place.
“He is really a really friendly guy so I approve! When I first met him, I thought he might be the one to lock it down. Congratulations to them both!”

He hit Peter Marosi over the head with a beer bottle, resulting in Peter needing plastic surgery. Jason paid Peter £50,000 in compensation and received three year’s probation. He was also ordered to complete 300 hours of community service and had to give £3,300 to a victim and witness assistance programme.
Nadine was apparently shocked to hear of Jason’s past as he seems like a totally different person now. “Nadine insists he has been the perfect gentleman to her and not ever compromised her in any way. She can barely believe the man who treats her like a princess would be capable of going crazy and bottling someone,” a source told New! magazine.
Nadine and Jason are said to have spent time discussing the situation, during which Jason explained he is now totally different. He assured the 25-year-old he is a “changed man”, and they have agreed to put the incident behind them.
