Cheryl tweets about Amy Walsh and watching a GA tour DVD!
Most of you know by now that Cheryl Cole’s Official Twitter page is @CherylCole
I wont post her tweets all the time here, same with Nicola’s or Nadine’s (Sarah and Kimberley don’t have twitter yet) but i thought her tweets were too lovely not to miss out.
Last night Cheryl found herself watching Hollyoaks Later on E4, where you might remember Amy, Kimberley’s sister is starring in. Amy plays Mercedes McQueen’s sister Jenifique in the spin-off show.
Just watched Amy Walsh on Hollyoaks later.. Finding it hard to wrap my head around her playing someone else but feel sooo proud of her!
That tweet had a few of the cast tweeting their excitement that Cheryl had watched them. Its funny how we don’t realise celebs are normal and watch TV just like us, curled on the couch with a tea and hobnobs!
Cheryl then tweeted something that all Girls Aloud fans will love:
Just been on a trip down memory lane…
I just watched the GA Tangled Up Tour DVD.. I love that we did ‘push it’ lmao.. I can not believe that was 2008…
Amazing memories.. Covered in goosebumps..
Who’s going to be watching their copy of the DVD tonight then?!
Kimberley Walsh: Girls Aloud WILL get back together
RARELY out of the headlines, it’s like Girls Aloud never went away – but incredibly it has been over two years since the five-piece was put on ice.
Their last stint was a couple of dates supporting Coldplay and Jay-Z at Wembley Stadium back in September 2009, just two months after announcing they were all taking a year off to pursue solo projects.
Since then there has been a very public rift between Nadine Coyle and the others – Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts. And fans feared what was meant to be a temporary hiatus had turned into a permanent split.
But all that is about to change with talk of a big comeback in 2012 – a decade after the public voted to assemble the group during ITV series Popstars: The Rivals.
Here, in an exclusive interview, 29-year-old Kimberley reveals: “We all definitely want to do something to celebrate our 10-year anniversary because it’s a massive achievement. There aren’t any actual plans in place – if there were we wouldn’t be telling you! We definitely do want to do something. We will definitely re-group.”
She adds with a knowing smile: “I don’t think that will be the end, though. I don’t think we will ever break up. Girls last for ever.”
Cheryl and Nicola have also spoken of marking the band’s 10th anniversary. Even estranged bandmate Nadine is up for it, telling NME it was “a milestone” they will all celebrate by doing “something”.
It will be an achievement just to get all five Girls in the same room at the same time they are all so busy. Kimberley has barely stopped working since taking time out from the band in 2009.
Kimberley recently did an interview in Zest magazine, prompting fresh news that Girls Aloud ‘will definately tour in 2012′.
She was quoted in the magazine as saying:
I’d like to do more acting, but, to be honest, being in the band has surpassed everything I ever dreamed of doing with my life. The girls will have been together for ten years next year and that’s definitely going to be celebrated with a tour. I can’t say any more until next year – but I’m really looking forward to it.
However a fan got a DM on Twitter from Kimberley’s PR company (@InstinctPR), who are handling her PUMA campaign she is fronting.
Kimberley mentioned that she’s looking forward to the girls getting back together and she mentioned that she was looking forward to being back on stage with the girls. But nothing is concrete and they’re still planning it all.
It looks like the magazine assumed it was finalised!
We can only hope there is at least something in the pipeline for next year, and if it is a tour, tickets will need to be on sale before Christmas at least!
Check out the video above of Nicola, Kimberley and Sarah posing for camera’s whilst fans in the background chant ‘Girls Aloud’! Nicola enjoys the chant and puts her arms in the air, whilst the others laugh!

Girls Aloud will reunite for their 10-year anniversary in 2012, according to band member Nadine Coyle.
The singer told internet radio host Dean Kelly the that band would get back together next year.
Coyle said: “We always discuss doing a 10-year reunion thing. So that’s going to be next year.”
“We’re definitely going to do something. But it’s a whole huge production. Girls Aloud is not just us five, there’s like us five plus a ridiculous team of 50 who travel with us, it’s amazing.” Their manager Hilary Shaw has also said that the five-piece will come together next year.
She said: “Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their 10th anniversary so there will be something.” Shaw added that a new studio album is unlikely, but said the girls are “getting on great”.
She added: “They speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl [Cole] and Nadine [Coyle] with the other girls. Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls, and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs.”
Nadine Coyle interview with Billboard on Girls Aloud and US Album Release
Those stateside may not fully feel the fame of Girls Aloud, the reality TV-spawned pop group that holds 20 top ten U.K. singles. But with the 10-year anniversary of the group’s founding coming up, fans worldwide have been dying to know whether Girls Aloud will reunite, following a hiatus in 2009. GA vocalist Nadine Coyle, who is currently ramping up her own American presence with a new solo album, spoke about the possibility of a reunion.
“It’s always been something we wanted to do,” Coyle, who goes by simply “Nadine,” tells Billboard.com. “It’s been like ‘Oh my gosh, we’ve been together ten years. We should do this, we should do that.’ But at the minute there’s been nothing officially discussed or decided. I’m hoping that we’ll do something. Ten years of all that stuff, it would be a shame to let it pass!”
Nadine hinted slightly that something would, in fact, happen with a reunion of Girls Aloud, which includes fellow solo artists Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts. Nadine adds, “It’s going to be fun.”
For being such a huge star across the pond — Girls Aloud were named the “Most Successful Reality TV Group” by Guinness World Records in 2011 and reportedly had a net net worth of 30 million pounds in 2010 — Nadine comes to America relatively unknown.
“It’s a challenge, it’s a challenge!” she says. “You’ve got to come, you’ve to work hard. I remember the days beginning at sixteen, seventeen years old in Girls Aloud. Nobody knew us, nobody cared. We’d do university shows and people threw beers cans at us. All sorts of crazy things! We had to work really hard to get where we did. That’s where I’m at now — that grind. That mentality of, ‘Yeah, let’s do it. Let’s work hard. What can we do? What can we achieve?’ Working as hard as we possibly can. I love that part of it.”
This grind includes preparing for the U.S. release of her debut solo album, “Insatiable,” which was released in her native U.K. in November 2010. Nadine is currently in the studio working on new material, creating new mixes of tracks on the original “Insatiable” release, and revisiting material that did not make the cut originally. Her new songs, she says, ranges from the “really dark, fighter-esque type — very strong, ‘nothing going to get us down’ songs,” to a modernized take on Marilyn Monroe’s “Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend.” Other influences range from Lykke Li to what she describes as the “funk style” of the new Maroon 5/Christina Aguilera collaboration, “Moves Like Jagger.”
Meanwhile, Nadine and her team are currently in talks with U.S. labels, while they see how her new track “Sweetest High,” a summer introduction for “Insatiable,” performs. “‘Sweetest High’ is for the clubs, that’s what it was for,” Nadine says. “It wasn’t supposed to be anything serious.”
She continues: “There’s no rules in music anymore. You don’t have to go down with, ‘You have a single, let’s do six weeks of promo, beginning with this, doing this, doing this.’ We’re doing it in our own way.”
Girls Aloud To Start Work On New Album In January?
Girls Aloud will start work on a new album in January, it has been reported.
The girl group, who are currently on hiatus, will get back together at the start of next year to work on the follow-up to 2008′s ‘Out Of Control’.
A source told the Mirror: ‘At the moment the Girls are really excited about their new beginning, although they are scratching their heads over who will create signature hits for them. They are all grown women now. Cheryl has been through a lot worse than US X Factor. She’s survived a marriage breakdown and almost died of malaria. She’s made of tougher stuff.
Adding: ‘They’re excited they’re going to be making a fresh start together on this next adventure of their lives. In six months time it’ll be back to work as normal – they are itching to get back in the studio.’
In recent years the band have been focussing on their own projects, with Cole achieving the most successful solo career.

Cheryl Cole has decided to put her US ‘X Factor’ heartbreak behind her by reuniting with her Girls Aloud bandmates for a 2012 tour according to Louis Walsh.
Cheryl Cole will recover from her US ‘X Factor’ heartbreak by reuniting with Girls Aloud.
The British pop star – who was dumped from the judging panel of the pop star search show last week – has decided to put the incident behind her, resurrect the on-hiatus group and focus on arranging a tour with her bandmates Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle, according to Cheryl’s former UK ‘X Factor’ co-star Louis Walsh
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the Wonderland launch at the Wyld Bar at the W Hotel, London, he said: “I’ve been on the phone to Cheryl all day, honestly I can show you texts, she’s fine. She’s getting back with Girls Aloud in 2012 and they’re going to tour.”
Cheryl’s decision to reunite with Girls Aloud comes after it was revealed she decided not to return to the UK version of the show and both she and the other female judge Dannii Minogue were replaced by Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.
