| Sarah Harding has X appeal | |
GIRLS ALOUD stunner Sarah Harding did little to quash rumours she’s going solo by telling us she’s been secretly recording. While gossiping with us at V Festival, our fave singer, 28, revealed: “I missed the first day of V as I was stuck in the studio recording all day. I can’t tell you why yet, sorry girls, but I’m really excited about it.” Whispers about her starring in the new X-Men film are getting stronger and while cuddling up to fella Tom Crane she said she’d “love to star in more films.” |

| Now Sarah’s acting all sensible | |
Sarah Harding’s veteran status in the Bizarre Caner of The Year contest every year is coming to a close. The GIRLS ALOUD singer will soon have no time for ale as the acting gigs continue to pile up. The St Trinian’s star is in final talks to play a cheerleader in a Brit comedy about American football, Gridiron UK, set in 1980s Crewe. A source said: “Sarah’s cousin is a co-producer on the film, so they decided to audition her and she went down a storm. Sarah wants to do it and the offer is with her management.” Sarah is lined up to play the head of a cheerleading team. Ironically, it’s what she would have done if Popstars: The Rivals hadn’t happened. The story might sound like the biggest yawn since Sex And The City 2, but it should be good for a laugh. If Sarah takes the role and the new X Men part she has auditioned for, it’s hard to see where she’ll fit in a reunion with her old girl group. |

| Sarah Harding auditions for new X-Men film?! | |
Hollywood could be getting a sexy new action-hero in the shape of Girls Aloud beauty Sarah Harding. Word reaches me that Sarah has been for two auditions for the next X-Men film and is waiting to hear if she has bagged the role as a femme fatale baddie. Yep, you heard me right. Sarah could be heading over to LA to star in a film that will no doubt propel her to international stardom. My source reveals: “The makers of the films like her attitude and think she could be a great addition to the cast. “They were very impressed with her in the second St Trinians movie and are testing her out to see if she can make the grade for an action flick like X-Men. “Everybody’s keeping their fingers crossed she gets it.” If Sarah were to clinch the role on X-Men: First Class she would be working alongside a more than impressive British line-up. James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Rosamund Pike, Alice Eve and Michael Fassbender are already cast in the film, set for release next summer. |

| Nadine Coyle keen on spoof movie role | |
ADAM DEACON, whose latest release Shank is out on DVD on July 26, is writing and directing the film, based on movies like Kidulthood. And the GIRLS ALOUD star – who is pursuing an acting and music career in LA while the band are on hiatus – wants in. A friend of Adam’s told The Sun: “Nadine is keen – and he’s happy to know that she is a fan of his work. “He hasn’t made any decisions on casting yet though.” |

| Cheryl Cole dazzles at movie premiere in Cannes | |
Cheryl Cole dazzled as she arrived at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of a controversial Algerian movie, Outside The Law. Cole, 26, wore a floor-length white dress with cut-out panels and a thigh-high split as she made her way up the red carpet. Also attending the screening of Rachid Bouchareb’s film were singer Beth Ditto and the festival’s Mistress of Ceremony, Kristin Scott Thomas. |

| Not Sarah’s Material, girl | |
Girls Aloud songbird Sarah Harding’s acting career goes from strength to strength – but she knows her limits. Sarah, 28, was offered a touring role in the one-woman show Touched about Madonna and modern womanhood, penned by Zoe Lewis, which previously starred Sadie Frost. But she turned it down because she didn’t feel ready for such a big challenge so early in her acting career. My mole says: “Sarah would have been perfect for the show. It’s right up her street and she would have been touring the country in the play. But she didn’t feel totally confident taking on such a large amount of work.” Source: Mirror |
