| Nicola Roberts: Beautiful people can be horrible | |
“I have some people in my life who are stunning on the outside but maybe not as beautiful on the inside and I have people in my life who are such lovely people so I see them as being really beautiful,” she told Metro.co.uk in an exclusive chat. “I think if you’re happy and you’re a nice person and you have a nice personality that always shines through.” Roberts is set to launch her own make up range, Dainty Doll, which caters for women with pale skin. “This is not a celebrity line of make up,” she insisted. “This is make up for women with pale skin of any age.” |

| Sarah Harding’s Rihanna Style Love | |
Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding loves Rihanna’s style choices, as she believes women should embrace their curves. The Girls Aloud singer reveals she thinks the ‘Rude Boy’ hitmaker’s dress sense is to be admired, as she embraces her curvaceous figure with everything she wears. She explained: “Rihanna is my style icon – she’s got such a great figure, all curves. It’s so nice to see that in an industry where curves are few and far between. Best of all, she’s not afraid to show them off! We should embrace our curves and enjoy looking like women.” The blonde beauty – who is currently taking a hiatus from her music career to concentrate on acting – admits while she opts for a glamorous look on the red carpet, she prefers to slouch around in her leggings at home. She said: “Leggings are my fashion weakness – even though they’re so overdone. It’s a form of fashion laziness and I can’t seem to stop wearing them! I wear them at home with a slouchy vest.” Sarah, 28, also reveals she is pleased many trends have now gone “full circle”, she has had some fashion disasters in the past. She added to heat magazine: “Vivienne Westwood is my favourite designer. Everyone’s gone full circle right now – her collection’s gone back to the ’80s and I love it. “At some point, whether you do what we do or not, you’re always going to look back and go, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I wore that!’ ” |

| Cheryl Cole adopts military look for Dublin auditions | |
And yesterday, Cheryl Cole went for a relatively simple look in a low-key khaki playsuit, which she teamed with black Christian Louboutin heels and a black cinch belt. The singer, who turns 27 tomorrow, added extra glam with the help of some long gold earrings. But then she knew she had to make an extra effort with Katy Perry as a guest judge on the panel. Katy, predictably, opted for all-out glamour in a pale blue sequinned number. The 25-year-old American is the latest in a string of guest judges adding a bit of oomph to proceedings in the absence of Dannii Minogue, who is on maternity leave. |

| Nicola Roberts attends Graduate Fashion Week 2010 | |
Another crop of young design talent celebrated the end of Graduate Fashion Week with a gala catwalk presentation showcasing the best contributors from fashion colleges and universities across the UK. The event was held at Earls Court and was presented by fashion favourite Caryn Franklin. Stars in attendance included Rachel Stevens, girl aloud Nicola Roberts and designers Betty Jackson and Jens Laugeson. It’s a tribute to the young designers that most collections inspired thoughts not of ‘didn’t they do well but rather ‘how can I get my hands on that’. |

| Cheryl: My Style and Beauty Secrets | |
It’s been seven months since I first met Cheryl Cole and boy is she in a different place right now. Back then, she was filming her second series of X Factor and was hailed as the people’s princess. L’Oréal confirmed she was ‘worth it’ by making her the face of a haircare range and everything was good with the world. All, that is, except her ‘stinky garlic breath’ (her words, not mine), which she’d got from eating houmous for lunch. For the record, she was fresh as a daisy. Dressed in a tight, thigh-skimming LBD, she perched on the sofa next to me and, all smiles and dimples, demurely poured us both a cup of mint tea. Now it’s 9am on a crisp April morning and a shiny black Mercedes with blacked-out windows has whisked me off to a top-secret location to meet her again. But even the suited 7ft driver with slicked-back hair and mirrored aviators only vaguely knows where we’re going. As we pull into a quaint square of London town houses, he makes a call to find out the exact address of our destination. It’s bizarre. Every measure has been taken to keep out the paparazzi, but I’m starting to feel like I’m part of some covert military operation. It’s understandable though. It’s been a bittersweet year for Cheryl. Despite 3 Words, her platinum-selling solo album topping the charts, three singles making the Top Five and a tour with the Black Eyed Peas, all this was tainted by the breakdown of her marriage to Ashley Cole. After the Chelsea footballer was caught cheating (several times – the fool!) she’s allegedly set the wheels in motion for divorce – but the betrayal is still raw. |

| Cheryl Cole confident with own style | |
Cheryl Cole doesn’t have a style icon. The ‘Fight for This Love’ singer is confident in her own appearance and doesn’t look to other celebrity beauties for fashion ideas because is happy with how she looks. She said: “Who is my style icon? I can’t name anybody. I think now I’m 26, I know what stuff fits and what doesn’t, what stuff looks good and what to avoid. I know what suits me now.” Although the brunette beauty doesn’t look to other celebrities for inspiration, she regularly discusses the latest beauty trends with her Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts. She said: “Nicola’s always got something in the pipeline. You can ring her and she’ll always have a new trick – her recent thing was shaving legs with oil.” Part of the reason why Cheryl is hesitant about following other’s fashion styles is because she believes it is important for her to keep her own identity. She explained: “I think the most beautiful thing about a woman is when she’s just herself.” Source: M&C |
