Justin Bieber wants Cheryl Cole duet

Cheryl Cole’s manager will.i.am says Justin Bieber is desperate to duet with her.

Justin Bieber has been chasing a duet with Cheryl Cole for “over a year”.

The ‘Baby’ singer has called Cheryl “beautiful” and flirted with her when he performed on British TV show ‘The X Factor’ – on which she was a judge – in 2010, and her manager, will.i.am is hoping they will soon appear on record together.

will.i.am said: “I am very tight with Justin’s mentor, Usher, and Cheryl has met him as well. We are like one tight little family and there is a lot of potentially exciting stuff in the pipeline.

“Justin is a big fan of Cheryl and has been asking Usher if he can set something up with her for over a year now.”

will.i.am also described how Cheryl is working with top producers and stars for her third album, which he believes will make her a huge star in the US.

He added to heat magazine: “This album is going to be the best material she has ever released. Some of the biggest names in the industry are working with her. When Cheryl is happiest she is infectious, and this is the happiest she has been in a long time.

“Will she break the US? When people meet Cheryl for the first time they want to meet her again because she is just great company. So the answer to your question is yes, without a doubt.”

Nicola Roberts duets with Norfolk schoolgirl

nicola roberts duetA Norfolk schoolgirl is to appear in front of millions of TV viewers alongside her idol, Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts.

Leah Colebrooke, from Aylsham, will duet with the star on BBC One show Tonight’s the Night on 16 July.

The 10-year-old, who has diabetes, was surprised during a school craft lesson by host John Barrowman who said he would “make her dreams come true”. Her mother Helen wrote to the programme asking them to grant Leah’s wish. She was inspired by her daughter’s courage in dealing with her illness.

“Leah was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of six and she’s always so good about everything she has to do and she just makes my life a lot easier because of that,” said Mrs Colebrooke. “She never complains and she looks after herself.”

Leah, who attends the town’s Bure Valley School, said all her classmates were in “total shock” when the TV presenter and a camera crew burst into her classroom.

They were then taken to the assembly hall where the star of the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood broke the ice by getting the pupils to play football and dance before he asked who could sing and Leah was pushed to the front by her friends and teacher.

“I was about to start singing when John Barrowman stopped me and said, ‘I don’t need to hear you sing because I’ve already heard you’,” said Leah. “He told me all about how I was going to be on Tonight’s The Night doing a duet.”

She was then flown to Glasgow and was midway through rehearsing a track in front of the TV cameras when the singer – who is about to release her first solo single – strolled into the hotel room.

“Nicola walked through the door and gave me a hug and started singing with me,” said Leah.

“I don’t know how I did it because it was in the middle of the song but I just kept on singing.”

After Leah’s stint on stage, she is now looking forward to sharing her star-studded TV performance with her friends at a small party.

Dannii Minogue wants to duet with Cheryl Cole

DANNII Minogue has put rumours of a feud with former X Factor star Cheryl Cole to rest – by saying she wants to collaborate with her on a new music venture.

The Aussie star gushed about how great she thought Cheryl’s debut solo album, 3 Words, is before saying she’d love to team up with her.

Dannii, 39, said: “I love Cheryl’s songs… absolutely love them. When her first solo album came out, I was listening to it and it took me a little while to get into.

“I was like… ‘I like this’… but now I love it. I just listen to it more and more and I absolutely love it. I’d love to do something with Cheryl.”

Dannii was forced to quit the X Factor after bosses set dates at the same time as her other show, Australia’s Got Talent.

Cheryl snubbed an offer to return to the British series after getting axed as a judge on the US version.

Aggro Santos: Gary Barlow Sorted Kimberley Duet

Fresh from his stint in the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, rapper Aggro Santos is back on UK soil, doing what he does best…making infectious pop songs.

Santos, who is signed to Take That frontman Gary Barlow’s Future Records label, has left the Aussie bush behind him, forgotten about Gillian McKeith’s phantom fainting and has unleashed monster tune, Like U Like, on the charts.

The Brazilian-born rapper, who has previously worked with ex-Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt, has this time teamed up with her namesake, in the shape of Girls Aloud beauty, Kimberley Walsh.

Speaking exclusively about the collaboration to MTV UK, the Candy MC revealed that one man in particular had a helping hand in setting up the duet.

Aggro explained: “I was a big fan of Girls Aloud for years and I mentioned that to Gary Barlow who is a friend of Kim’s. I said I would be up for working with her. He spoke to her and she was up for it, so we made Like U Like.”

When asked why he replaced a male vocalist on the track with Walsh, the 22-year old star explained: “I think it suits a girls vocal more. It’s more of a softer song and Kimberley did a great job on the vocals.”

He confessed: “Kim is really great down to earth person. The whole thing was just enjoyable. Thanks to her for all of her contribution.”

Seeing as Walsh’s GA bandmate, Cheryl Cole, has enjoyed a hugely successful solo career, we just had to ask Aggro how Kimberley is feeling about her first musical venture outside the girlband.

Santos revealed: “At the moment everyone is liking the song and in that sense, I have no idea whether she feels pressure or not but we are just doing it. It’s a great song and whatever happens with it, happens.”

“One of the good things about music is that you enjoy what you’re doing. You don’t always look at it as a job or that it has to do something.”

He added: “It’s about doing something you love and getting out there. If the public respond to it then great and so far, they have responded to it.”

Well said Aggro! Like U Like is out now…
