Cheryl speaks to OK! about her secrets to wowing on the red carpet
CHERYL Cole and newly appointed US X Factor judge reveals her golden secrets to impressing on the red carpet.
Stunning star Cheryl Cole has done her fair share of wowing at Cannes Film Festival over the past week, we catch up with the songstress and find out her red carpet secrets.
When chatting about walking the red carpet, the X Factor judge says: “Well, the most important thing is to make sure you’re covered from all angles. You must remember on the red carpet it’s 360-degree angles those photographers get.
“Whether it’s putting a bit of sticky tape somewhere so you don’t show anything you don’t want to, you need to make those checks.”
The Geordie beauty also reveals that her main starting point is “a gorgeous dress!”, she says: “It’s amazing to do the girlie thing and to have your hair and make-up done – but it’s also really stressful sometimes too.
“I always get nervous before walking red carpets.”

Cheryl Cole turns heads in a plunging white dress at Cannes
She turned every head at the premiere of Habernus Papam at Cannes yesterday in a plunging white dress, but Cheryl Cole still decided to show off a more modest gown later in the evening.
After watching the Italian drama at Cannes Film Festival, the 27-year-old popped over to the L’Oreal after party in a shimmering gold long-sleeved gown.
The figure-hugging dress made sure to keep all attention on her for the remainder of the evening, as she strutted around in the stunning ensemble.
Her footwear was hidden once again under her mermaid-inspired train and she accessorised the outfit with a bright red clutch.
She started her day by wearing the plunging white Stephane Rolland dress, which left very little to the imagination.
But Cheryl managed to look both sexy and elegant in the white creation.
Cheryl teamed the dress with an unusual belt, which featured what appeared to be two gold pears on the front, and gold clutch bag.
When one of the most glamourous singer comes to Cannes, the whole Croisette swirls around. From her arrival at the Martinez Suite to the Red Carpet, follow her and discover her as you’ve never seen her before.

IT’S been a shambolic booze-tastic week in Cannes but we made it through the Moët.
After our brunch with star of the week Cheryl Cole, the 26-year-old pop princess went on to wow the crowds in this awesome frock at a glitzy premiere.
Meanwhile sex siren Kate Beckinsale, 36, above right, lost an earring to her bosom buddies but managed to dig it out after a good fish around at Amfar’s Cinema Against Aids Gala.
And a slightly odd-looking Grace Jones, 62, above left, turned up to scare the punters at the Hotel Du Cap.
Maybe the eccentric singer’s beekeeper get-up was aimed at shooing off the French boys. We wonder if she pulled?
But it was wild child Mischa Barton who looked like she was carrying everyone’s hangover by the end of the week.
The flustered lass, 24, obviously enjoyed one too many nights on the lash.
And as we nurse our heavy heads, we can’t wait for the next bout of Cannes-tastic party time. Bring it on.
