Nadine Coyle is reportedly shocked her fiancé has been in trouble with the law as he’s always treated her like a “princess”.

The Girls Aloud singer announced her engagement to American footballer Jason Bell earlier this month. She explained the proposal totally took her by surprise, so much so that she wearing her pyjamas when it happened.

Shortly after the wedding plans were announced, it was revealed Jason once got into a fight with a man at a bar. He hit Peter Marosi over the head with a beer bottle, resulting in Peter needing plastic surgery. Jason paid Peter £50,000 in compensation and received three year’s probation. He was also ordered to complete 300 hours of community service and had to give £3,300 to a victim and witness assistance programme.

Nadine was apparently shocked to hear of Jason’s past as he seems like a totally different person now. “Nadine insists he has been the perfect gentleman to her and not ever compromised her in any way. She can barely believe the man who treats her like a princess would be capable of going crazy and bottling someone,” a source told New! magazine.

Nadine and Jason are said to have spent time discussing the situation, during which Jason explained he is now totally different. He assured the 25-year-old he is a “changed man”, and they have agreed to put the incident behind them.

Simon Cowell reportedly wants Cheryl Cole to call time on her relationship with dancer Derek Hough for the sake of her career.

The music mogul
apparently made his feelings clear when he invited Derek over for dinner at his London mansion, The Mirror newspaper reported.

Simon, 50, is said to have told Derek – who is rumoured to be dating the Girls Aloud singer – that Cheryl would be better off single.

A close friend of Derek’s reportedly told the Mirror, ‘During the dinner Simon told Derek, ‘It’s nothing personal, I just don’t think Cheryl should be spending so much time with you so soon after her marriage breakup’.

‘She thinks he is wise and emotionally intelligent, which is why Derek is so scared that Simon’s opinion could hurt them in the long run.’

But a spokesman for Simon denied that he had stuck his nose in, telling the Mirror, ‘Simon wouldn’t dream of telling anyone what to do in their private relationships.’

Nadine Coyle’s solo career might be about to kick off but her love life has hit rock bottom after her two-year relationship with Jason Bell has ended.

The Girls Aloud star has broken off her romance with American football player Bell, who she had been dating while living in Los Angeles since 2008.

The 25-year-old is said to have broken up with the New York Giants player, 32, because the relationship ‘was going nowhere’, the Daily Star reported.

A source told the tabloid: ‘Nadine was the one who decided it wasn’t working. They were together for two years but there was no marriage on the horizon.

‘It’s all very amicable and they will remain friends. But relationships are all about taking steps and making commitments and they weren’t moving to the next step.’

Meanwhile, the Irish singer’s solo career is about to take off and has been in London, Scotland, Ireland and Sweden in recent weeks working with top producers, reports say.

Girls Aloud’s record label has recently denied rumours that Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh are about to regroup without Nadine.

But while Nadine has been living Stateside, she’s not been seen with any of her Girls Aloud pals since last year and there have been constant rumours of feuds between the girls.

Nadine’s solo comeback is set to prove her amazing talent and will also give Cheryl Cole some stiff competition in the music charts.

With temperatures soaring, you’d be forgiven for peeling off the layers and pulling on your summer shorts instead.

But when Sarah Harding’s boyfriend Tom Crane hit a London night club with the Girls Aloud star last night, he seemed to have forgotten to get dressed up for the occasion.

While Sarah looked elegant in an off the shoulder maxi dress complete with silver heels, Tom looked like he had come straight from the garden in a pair of fraying cut-off denim shorts.

But it seems Sarah was not too bothered by her boyfriend’s casual look as she was pictured grinning and holding hands with Tom as she left Kanaloa night club.

Tom’s self-imposed informal dress code was enhanced by his navy shirt, which hung loosely down his front and a pair of navy deck shoes, which he wore without socks.

The Girls Aloud star, meanwhile, looked stunning in a multi-coloured floor-length dress which was split on one side up to her thigh, revealing her tanned and toned legs.

And having just returned from sun-drenched Cannes, it’s no wonder Sarah chose to bare just a little of her freshly-tanned flesh.
