A few days ago we got to see a behind the scenes look at the Yo-Yo video.
We’re now lucky enough to get another sneak preview, which is more in-depth.
Nicola talks about the song in the video: “The general concept is really all about the story and just following the story of the song. It’s a really emotional song… [so] one of the hardest things about today is to take it out of my situation and be able to perform the song through the cameras.”
She added: “I think the song means a lot to a lot of people, so fingers crossed the story really hits home.”

Behind the scenes of Nicola’s second video ‘Lucky Day’
Nicola’s second solo music video, Lucky Day will be premiered this Friday 12th August.

SUPERFACT 1: Lucky Day was filmed in downtown New York and was inspired by Grandmaster’s Flash The Message video.
SUPERFACT 2: It was Nicola Roberts’ first time in New York. She’s been to LA for filming of Beat Of My Drum.
SUPERFACT 3: Filming outside the pizza shop was a nightmare as the delivery guys would just walk through the shots so the director had to keep cutting.
SUPERFACT 4: On her day off Nicola went to Empire State building. When she got to the top of the building she was spotted by an Italian Girls Aloud fan who was excited to see her.
SUPERFACT 5: Nicola had to film the video in sweltering conditions. It was over 120 degrees and one of the hottest days of the year. The drinks of choice was iced coffee and water to cool down.
SUPERFACT 6: Too cool down Nicola and some of the crew would run into shops with air con in and stand in there as if they were going to buy something and when it was time to shoot they would run out.
SUPERFACT 7: There were about 20 people on the crew.
SUPERFACT 8: Filming for Lucky Day at 7 in the morning and finished at 10pm. Now that’s a long day..
SUPERFACT 9: When Nicola was rehearsing the day before she spotted some cool skateboarders and asked them if they wanted to be in the video. One of them ended up in the final video!
SUPERFACT 10: It was so hot during the day Nicola wore factor 70 suncream.
