Cheryl Cole to return to US X Factor?
Cheryl Cole is set to make a return to the US ‘X Factor’.
The 27-year-old singer – who was sensationally sacked from the talent series last month – has seen Fox TV bosses make a U-turn in their decision to axe her from the judging panel after show chief Simon Cowell persuaded network executives to give her another chance.
While the reason Cheryl was axed from the panel is believed to be down to worries over her strong North-East England accent and lack of chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul, bosses are reportedly concerned they’ve made a “big mistake” after watching footage of the brunette beauty at the auditions.
With the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker expected to return to the show when the auditions start again in New Jersey on Wednesday (08.06.11), Nicole Scherzinger – who was believed to have taken over from Cheryl on the panel alongside Paula, Simon and L.A. Reid – will return to her role as co-host.
An insider told the News of the World newspaper: “This is the biggest surprise of the lot – Cheryl is back. Who could possibly have predicted this – it appeared that Simon had dumped Cheryl for good?
“But behind the scenes Simon has been wooing Cheryl. And key executives at Fox all realised they had made a big mistake. They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realised that she could be a huge star over there.”
Cheryl’s previous contract with Fox will reportedly be upheld, with the star continuing with the auditions and returning for the twice weekly live shows in the autumn.

DJ Vito Fun, the hot-to-get DJ in NYC is also spinning NYC Gay Pride’s Dance on the Pier June 26th…Maybe a Nadine premiere?
Nadine Coyle creating a lot of buzz in America already
An Entertainment Reporter on twitter has revealed there is a lot of buzz for Nadine in America. We recently found out that she will be releasing a single from her album ‘Insatiable’ called Runnin’ for the American audience.
@RyanJL tweeted 2 days ago: “I was chatting Nadine’s US team today. They say that she’s with key NYC DJ’s, got appearances at Fire Island, The Hamptons. They are also watching Nadine’s track Runnin’ “closely” because it has been “picked up by some key stations here in the states”
He also tweeted about the current situation over Cheryl Cole’s firing from The US X Factor not being in connection with Nadine’s single announcement:
“Nadine Coyle’s US team tell me that single announcement was “designed weeks ago”. Weren’t aware of Cheryl drama: they “play fair, not mean”.
It was just a big coincidence that the 2 announcements were made within days of each other. So don’t read any bad press articles as they only like to create non-existant rifts!
Cheryl Cole has been ‘sacked’ from The US X Factor, its been reported.
News broke late last night on TMZ.com and word quickly spread around Twitter and other news sources that Cheryl had been dropped from the show and will be replaced by ex-”Pussycat Dolls” member Nicole Scherzinger.
TMZ reports the reasons for the sacking, was that there was a “lack of chemistry” with fellow judge Paula Abdul and producers were worried about her accent.
Cheryl fans have taken to twitter in support of Cheryl to come back to the UK.
One Cheryl fanpage @UltimateCheryl had a reply from Cheryl’s PR but the reply was quickly deleted. Here’s what it said:
RT @supersonicpr: @UltimateCheryl We’ve told Cheryl how much support she is getting from her soldiers. Thank you all.
A premature reply before a statement maybe? Either way, this reply is pretty much a confirmation to us, that the reports are true.
However, there has been no official statement from FOX or Cheryl’s management to make it 100% official.
CHERYL Cole went dotty at the US X Factor auditions yesterday – and finally stole the spotlight from fellow judge Paula Abdul.
The Geordie looked like butter wouldn’t melt in a wholesome polka dot smock and a pair of spotty navy blue wedge heels.
And Cheryl, 27, seemed happy to take centre stage as she and the other judges arrived at the try outs in Chicago.
She waved and laughed as she posed for snappers outside the Sears Convention Center.
And the Girls Aloud star was clearly going for the cutesy look – as opposed to Paula, 48.
She opted to flash her impressive pins in a sexy animal print miniskirt, which she teamed up with a floral print long-sleeved top.
But boss Simon Cowell, 51, seemed pleased with both of their wardrobe choices and gave a thumbs up to the crowds outside.
He recently declared that the pair were getting on famously – after TV Biz told that they had agreed a pact to annoy Simon.
The music mogul said: “They get on great. Cheryl adores Paula.
“She’s never worked with her before and I’d always spoken about how much fun she was so there’s a bit of a love fest going on at the moment between those two, but that will soon change.”
Here is an advert for The US X Factor that was aired last night after American Idol. Features clips from UK’s show last year and Cheryl’s videos for ‘Fight for this Love’ and ‘Parachute’. An exciting build up!
Cheryl Cole upsets US fans by sitting next to Simon Cowell
Singer Cheryl Cole has reportedly upset US fans by sitting next to Simon Cowell on the US X Factor panel.
The 27-year-old star recently joined the line-up on the show alongside Cowell and his former American Idol co-star Paula Abdul as well as music producer LA Reid.
It’s claimed fans are upset that Cole has taken the seat next to Cowell leaving Abdul further down the panel line.
A source said to Britain’s MailOnline: ‘The fans are angry because Cheryl is sitting next to Simon. They call Paula and Simon ‘Saula’ and think that Cheryl is splitting them up.’
However Cole has made a popular start with US fans.
The source added: ‘Cheryl is still proving a hit and winning over lots of fans. Paula has taken it on the chin and her and Cheryl have been ganging up on Simon and LA Reid.’
Cheryl Cole talks to Yahoo at the first X Factor USA live taping
America got its first taste of Cheryl Cole’s British invasion on Sunday, May 8, when the gorgeous “X Factor U.K.” judge taped her first episode of the U.S. version of Simon Cowell’s show at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. As Simon semi-jokingly told L.A. reporters, “Having Cheryl on the show shows that actually, British people can be nice,” Cheryl herself explained her kinder, gentler judging style, saying, “The trick with Simon is to be as honest as he likes to be, but I try to do it in a polite way.”
Exhibiting her universal charm to American reporters, many of whom still hardly knew she was (although that will surely soon change), reality show veteran Cheryl seemed extremely relaxed, and said she wasn’t worried about Stateside audiences embracing her. “Not really, but only because it’s this [judging] side of me–if it was my music, then yes, absolutely [I'd be worried],” she said. “But I feel like the contestants are the ones with the nerves, and it’s about me helping someone else with their dream.”
Cheryl also didn’t seem worried about American viewers being able to comprehend her regional Northern English accent, pooh-poohing rumors that she’s working with a dialect coach. “I would never, ever change how I speak, and I think Americans understand that, and I quite like that fact,” she said in her heavy, but not at all indecipherable, Newcastle brogue.
Still, Cheryl acknowledged that she’s taking a huge career risk by moving across the pond. “It’s a big step for me. I have a lot at stake myself. I’ve left the U.K. ‘X Factor’ and I am in a foreign country, so it’s strange for me. It’s a big deal….I miss the U.K. already, but I’m such a homebody that this is really good for me to step outside of my comfort zone and push myself.”
