We are pleased to announce that Cheryl’s next single will be the amazing ‘Parachute’, released on 15th March! This is the song that MuuMuse called ‘the album’s most accessible track, as well as its catchiest’, with its ‘militant, marching drum beat and a twinkling mid-tempo piano melody’. The Guardian labeled the track ‘an austere take on modern pop that gives Cole’s voice the space it needs’ and Digital Spy reckons that on ‘Parachute’ ’strings and sweet nothings make for a cute combination!’ Cheryl is shooting the video next week and really excited about the next release. More details will be coming soon, so stay tuned to Cheryl’s official site! Source: CherylCole.com |

We all know Cheryl Cole has the X Factor. So it’s no surprise the next stage of her solo career is a European campaign before she has a crack at America. And it seems the show that’s made her a nationwide obsession is giving her a helping hand – in Germany! Ja, you heard me correctly. Geordie Cheryl will be ze main attraction later this month when she mentors contestants on the German version of The X Factor. A source close to Mrs Cole reveals: “She’s thrilled to start her European campaign in such a big way. The X Factor’s huge in Germany. There are also plans for her to be a guest on the biggest shows there too – including Wetten Dass – they’ve had Madonna and all the A-List stars in the past.” After conquering Germany, Cheryl will do whistle-stop tours of Spain and Italy to promote her album 3 Words and the single Fight For This Love, before reaching the toughest country to break – France. |

This week, 3 Words feat Will.i.am was released to buy. With virtually no promotion due to the holidays, it went in at #4 in the Top 40 charts selling over 38,000 copies. Fight For This Love also crept back up the charts to #14 selling 14,000 copies this week. FFTL is also the #5 biggest seller of the year in Ireland! In the album chart, 3 Words went up 4 places to #10 selling over 84,000 copies this week. Good news for Joe McElderry, Cheryl’s X Factor winner, he finally got his number one single this week. He outsold RATM 3 times over selling 195,000 copies of The Climb. |

X Factor starlet Cheryl Cole looks set to lose out on the number one spot this week, to her protégé Joe McElderry. The Girls Aloud glamazon’s latest track 3 words – recorded with Will.I.AM of the Black Eyed Peas – will go up against Joe’s winners single, a cover of the Miley Cyrus hit The Climb. Despite the famous Mrs Cole’s first single success, the star’s latest solo effort sold just 8,808 copies on Monday. And chart experts predict that if the rest of the week follows this trend, Cheryl could only make it to number eight at the weekend. Meanwhile, it seems her winning act might finally be headed for the top spot. Lovely Geordie Joe had a battle on his hands last week, after a Facebook campaign sent American band Rage Against the Machine to number one. Unfortunately, this doesn’t bode well for Mrs Cole. With those figures to live up to, she doesn’t really stand a chance! Source: MarieClaire |
