Sarah Harding says she is in no rush to get married like her Girls Aloud bandmates Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle.
In an exclusive interview with OK! Sarah Harding confessed she hasn’t got the same strong values as divorced Cheryl Cole and engaged Nadine Coyle.
She said about her partner Tom: “We’re not in a rush as we’re both career focused at the moment.
“When would I fit in a wedding when I’m working all the time?”
And the blonde singer admits that she may have been put off getting hitched so young after watching her bandmate and family member’s relationships unfold.
She continued: “My mum got married quite young, and I think I’d like to wait until I’m in my thirties. Your twenties are about sorting out your career.”
But supportive of her pal Cheryl, Sarah understands why some girls stay with cheating husbands.
She revealed: “I used to get cheated on quite a lot. I got through this needy stage at the beginning of a relationship and it can be quite scary for a guy.”
And on the topic of Coleen and Wayne Rooney she said: I think it’s disgusting. I think Coleen will put him through hell, but I understand she doesn’t want to split up the family. I think Wayne should be happy with what he’s got!”

She’s the kind of woman who’ll drink you under the table and look particularly good doing it. Nadine Coyle, one fifth of Girls Aloud, owner of California’s finest Irish pub and the fiancé of former American football star Jason Bell, launches her much-talked about solo album Insatiable this autumn. Self-deprecating and stunning in equal measure, there were only two topics that Nadine wasn’t keen to touch upon: the future of the group that made her name (the huge bouquet of flowers from her bandmates signals things are fine) and her (non-existent) rivalry with Cheryl Cole. So we asked her for advice on dating, her thoughts on Gaga’s meat dress and why she thinks Barack Obama is overrated.
What was the key detail to get right in Nadine’s Irish Mist?
Décor. And service. Our new chef Jonathan just brought in a new fishcake recipe. I wanted a roasted red pepper dish, which we did for a while, but his ideas are much better. My whole thing is that I want really good quality meats and to get the best sources for fish. We’re just by the ocean – there’s no excuse!
Who is your best-dressed British celebrity?
Celebrities are not what really does it for me in terms of dressing. You drive around the streets of London and you see far better-dressed men and women then you’ll see on TV. Musicians? I don’t like musicians’ style. I like a very classy look. A man in skinny jeans is not going to do anything for me whatsoever. No man should have them in his wardrobe. I just feel that the whole “I’m-a-rock-guy-I-haven’t-showered-in-days” – I just don’t like that look. I like clean-cut, classic. Men always look great in a nice Hugo Boss suit. I want some tailoring, great-fitting clothing – that’s what I’m into. I want someone who looks expensive.
What’s the biggest mistake men make on dates?
Talking too much. I think if someone has agreed to go on a date they like you anyway, so all you can do is ruin it by talking too much. It’s always good to be humble and seem to appreciate yourself rather than trying to seem better than what you are. You might be great, I’m sure you are, but let the woman make that decision. It’s not for you to go telling.
