Cheryl Cole reportedly wants rumoured beau Derek Hough to help her at the Judges’ House phase of the X Factor.

The Girls Aloud singer is said to want Hough to assist her in chosing the acts she wants to mentor on the live shows instead of her previous aides pal Kimberley Walsh and Pop Idol champ Will Young.

According to the Daily Star, Chezza allegedly believes that Dancing With The Stars performer Derek can help her chose artists that can not only sing, but dance as well.

This tactic will impress the likes of X Factor boss Simon Cowell who has claimed that he is looking for an ‘all-round’ performer on this year’s show.

A source told the newspaper: “Simon thought last year’s contestants didn’t move enough. He called one of them, Stacey Solomon, a singing candle,”

They added: “Cheryl thinks that having dancer and choreographer Derek on board will boost her chances of winning. She can help with their ­singing and he can teach them some moves.”

It has also been suggested that the Parachute singer has ditched plans to film the judges’ houses stage at her home in Surrey so she can remain in LA with Derek – who is apparently on the brink of proposing marriage to Cheryl.

A source told Now magazine: “The only reason he hasn’t pushed it is because she’s so recently split from Ashley….But when the time’s right, within a year he thinks, he’ll ask her.”
