Cheryl has denied having a fling with dancer Derek saying “I’m not his type of girl.”

Despite spending seemingly romantic nights with Derek in her home, the Girls Aloud singer claims that there is nothing going on between them.

Even Derek’s stepdad, Aaron Nelson, thought it was “true love”. But maybe he was in on what appears to be a cover for Cheryl to start dating again, out of the public eye.

A friend said: “She says they’re close but there’s no romantic connection.

“But she doesn’t care if people think something is happening because it gives her the opportunity to explore her options.”

“Cheryl is ready to move on and start dating again.”

After Derek and Will.I.Am, we hope the next ‘relationship’ is real.
