The formerly blonde Girls Aloud singer debuted a scruffy pink hairstyle yesterday, that would have shocked the perfectly turned out actress.

Sarah seemed delighted with her new look, smiling for the cameras as she left her house in London.

Along with her logo T-shirt she dressed down in black leggings and a white cardigan.

Perhaps Sarah’s pink look can be blamed on her spending too much time in a relaxed festival environment his summer.

She’s been spotted at Wireless, Glastonbury, Hard Rock Calling, Cannes and the Henley Regatta.

Whatever the reason, Sarah’s pink look is a far cry from her Girls Aloud days.

Onstage and off, along with her bandmates she was always perfectly turned out.

But the band are currently on an extended break, allowing them each to pursue their own interests.

SASSY Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding has a hectic life.

Fresh from causing a rumpus among the toffs at Henley Regatta, as we reported on Saturday, here she is catching some rays at the Wireless festival at London’s Hyde Park.

The Ascot-born caner, 29, donned fetching pink shades and swigged cans of Red Bull while watching the music from the VIP area.

And as usual she looked gorgeous. She says her svelte figure is down to vitamins packed with kelp and cider vinegar. We’re ordering a case…

SARAH HARDING made an extravagant entrance to yesterday’s Henley Regatta – arriving by helicopter and delaying a race by half an hour.

The Girls Aloud beauty was a star guest at the Mahiki-themed event, complete with a tropical riverside bar and a Tiki themed Beach Grill.

Sarah was quick to get involved, taking one of the sumptuous Gallo Rosito cocktails with her on a boatride.

She later watched on intently as boyfriend TOM CRANE DJ’d.

A source said: “Sarah was full of apologies for being late.

“It was quite windy and consequently the helicopter was delayed.

“She got stuck into the drinks and was in very high spirits.”

Girls Aloud star-singer Sarah Harding is preparing to enter the world of business as she wants to ’secure her future’.

The singer, who has her own night club, believes that her time in the band won’t last forever. So, she is doing her best to undertake various other ventures to ensure financial security.

‘I’m having lots of meetings about things that are in the pipeline for later this year. I invest in property too, I’ve got to make sure that I secure my future. Despite what people think, I do have a business head on my shoulders,’ femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

Girls Aloud went on a hiatus last year and since then, Harding has been busy launching her acting career.

She said: ‘It’s a transitional period. My mind is at loads of different places at the moment. Being on my own is weird, but it’s definitely more peaceful. I am calmer!’

It was a case of Girls most definitely not Aloud at Hard Rock Calling today when Sarah Harding tried to go into the men’s toilets.

The 28-year-old singer collapsed into a fit of giggles after she was spotted making the embarrassing mistake at the event in London’s Hyde Park.

Wearing a white vest top with a dinosaur image and the slogan ‘Where You Been?’ teamed with denim hotpants, Sarah was suitably dressed for the 27C heat at the event, and made sure she stayed hydrated by carrying a bottle of beer.

While things have been a bit quiet for Sarah on the Girls Aloud front, the star insists she has many other plans for the future that do not revolve around the band.

She said recently: ‘I’m having lots of meeting about things that are in the pipeline for later in the year.

‘I invest in property too. I’ve got to make sure I secure my future. I do have a business head on my shoulders despite what people think.’

Sarah made the decision to shun perhaps the most famous music event of the weekend – Glastonbury in Somerset – to attend Hard Rock Calling.

Sarah Harding has admitted becoming famous has made her feel more conscious of her weight.

The Girls Aloud star told Heat magazine being in the public eye has made her think about her size more, but that she has learned to live with it better over time.

Sarah revealed: “I was a 12 when Girls Aloud formed – I’ve definitely become increasingly conscious of my size as time’s gone on, especially being in front of the camera so much, but you need to remember that you’re a role model for young girls and being skinny-tastic is unreasonable and just doesn’t look nice.

“If your body wants a McDonald’s, give it one. I live in the country now and it’s easier to eat healthily. We have a veg patch – I grow leeks, carrots, strawberries and lettuce.”

Sarah, who is currently a size 10 but has been a size 8 when she was at her skinniest, admits the band lose weight when they are touring. She said: “I’ve put on a bit of weight in the last year as we haven’t been touring. When we tour, people always think we’re not eating enough, but actually we’re eating more. If I put on weight, it’s all muscle and I tend to look thinner.”

The 28-year-old singer and actress admits she has parts of her body she doesn’t like.

Sarah revealed: “I hate my muffin tops – that’s why I like leggings. They’re good at disguising them. People never believe I have muffin tops, but I’m just very good at hiding the fact.”

Congratulations on your new title as ‘The Legs of Veet’. You’re looking very glam!

Sarah: Thanks hon. It’s hard work trying to be glamorous all day, I’m so not used to being dressed up in the daytime.

You manage it well! Speaking of which, hair removal generally isn’t seen as that exciting but you’re glamming it up – how do you feel about being the ‘legs’ of Veet?

Sarah: I kind of like it. It’s nice to be asked to do it, to have my legs recognised. I’d never thought about them much but legs are something that we women are always focusing on making sure that they’re smooth and look good. And of course I’ve used Veet throughout the years. It’s such a great, easy product to use and now it’s got the new velvet rose scent it’s even better.

So do you class your legs as one of your top assets?

Sarah: I’m noticing them a lot more now because of this but until recently I hadn’t really taken much notice of them. Our stylist always said I had great legs, she was always trying to get me to show them off. The only thing I wish is that they were a bit longer, but that’s what heels are for.

Despite having a reputation as the wild child of Girls Aloud (even though she’s the oldest in the group at 28), Sarah Harding has kept the lowest profile of the all the girls since they announced they were having a break to pursue their own projects in July last year.

So we were excited, if a little bit surprised, when out of the blue we were invited to catch up with her for an exclusive chat. And once we got Sarah started, she didn’t hold back. She was more candid and chatty than ever before, and top of her agenda was revealing the reasons for her radical new look, why she thinks people have got her all wrong, and how she’s now free to show her true colours…

So with your new look and posing with rose petals for our exclusive cover photo – don’t say you’ve gone all Julie Andrews on us?
Ha ha. The whole point of growing my hair was to try to become a little bit more feminine. I just wanted to change how I felt about myself, especially now the band is on a break. It’s the perfect time to rediscover who I am and get my identity back, rather than being a character in a band. So yeah, I think I’m sort of softening up.

You’re portrayed as a party animal, so are you a bit misunderstood?
Yeah, that was kind of my role in the band and, don’t get me wrong, every girl my age likes to go out and party with their friends, but really I’m quite a homebody and I always have been. I’m fine with this wild image, but that’s not what I’m about. I just want to show another side to me, and I think the new look is a much truer reflection of who I really am. I’ve definitely got a girlier side, but not everyone gets to see it. Now they can.
