Apparently, Girls Aloud will reform (YAY!), but without Nadine Coyle (NAY!)

Some source/friend/spy have informed The Sun:

“It’s been a painful decision… but they have decided that the future of Girls Aloud lies without Nadine. Relations with her had been strained within the camp for a while.”

“Disputes began cropping up towards the final days of the band before they went on a hiatus. The four remaining girls want to return on their own terms.”

How many times have we heard this before?!

Surely the girls would reform as a 5-piece or not at all, I’m sure they have mentioned this matter in an interview way back when, when asked about the Spice Girls and other bands reforming after so many years.

On better news, Girls Aloud’s record label @welovepop have seemingly rubbished the rumours by posting a simple ‘Yawn’ next to a photo of today’s The Sun newspaper article of the story.

Safe to say, don’t believe everything you read in the papers!

*UPDATE*

Girls Aloud’s rep has denied the reports, claiming that a record deal has been signed to include ALL of the ladies and that their sixth studio album would be released as a group. No release date has been given yet.

It sounds like Girls Aloud aren’t in any rush to get back into the studio anytime soon.

It feels like ages since they announced they were “taking a break”, but Kimberley Walsh, below, reveals: “Things have taken off individually more than we thought and we’re all enjoying it so we wanna go with it.”

During their break all the girls have kept themselves busy, especially Cheryl Cole who’s juggled her job as an X Factor judge with being a chart-topper.

“Whether we’re definitely going to get back together, next March or whenever, we just don’t know,” Kimberly adds.

Gulp! If you ask me it sounds like all the girls have realised things are working out without them having to share the limelight …

Kimberley Walsh has reportedly claimed that Girls Aloud will reunite at “some point”.

The 28-year-old told Star magazine that she does not know what to expect from the group’s next album.

“Fingers crossed, we’ll be getting back into the studio at some point – probably next year,” she said.

“I don’t really know what direction the music will go in. We never plan any further ahead than a few months and never have. It has always been quite an organic thing. We never actually thought we’d end up still here, seven years down the line. God knows where we’ll end up!”

Walsh also admitted that she is closer to some of her bandmates than others.

“I am definitely closest to Cheryl and Nicola. We’re a little bit like the Three Musketeers probably because we’re so boring and can be found sitting in hotel rooms chatting instead of going out,” she said. “Sarah will call us and say, ‘We’re going off to the bar. Are you coming?’ And we’re like, ‘No. we’re just going to stay here!’”

We are a week into June 2010 already, but it will still be a packed month of dates for your diaries.

This month we have the filming of ‘The X Factor‘ auditions which start in Glasgow today. Hasnt it come around quick! This is where the judges visit various venues and judge those who got through the earlier ‘producer’ stages. I am personally lucky enough to go to the Birmingham 14th filming with 2 members from the forum, i hope most of you got tickets to watch it too.

Next week starts off with a birthday, Nadine Coyle‘s (15th). NadineCoyleFan.com are currently running a birthday book [HERE], so go and sign that online before the 15th and hopefully get your message read by Nadine.

During that week, Kimberley Walsh will be starting promotion for her Sky1 documentry ‘Blue Jean Girl’. so expect to see her on ‘This Morning’ and BBC breakfast news on the 15th. The documentry is set to air on the 16th.

After yet more X Factor filming, the month ends with another birthday, Cheryl’s which is on the 30th.

Nadine, 24, is said to be causing “frustration” and “ill feeling” among the other Girls because she is dragging her feet over the release of her solo album – which, in turn, is keeping them waiting to get back in the studio.

The others virtually gave Nadine the chance to walk away after bandmates Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding revealed she had not been in touch since their last gig – more than six months ago.

But she has told pals she has no intention of quitting and letting them carry on as a four-piece with Cheryl Cole. The Derry lass, who now has an annoying American twang, originally planned to release her album in February.

But industry insiders tell us there is STILL no release date even pencilled in the diary.

Bearing in mind that schedules are sorted months in advance, with most labels now looking at autumn, it will be the end of the year at the earliest before Girls Aloud can get together to record another album.

A source tells us: “Nadine has been working so long on this album that it’s strange there isn’t even a date pencilled in for its release.

“They’d originally scheduled it for early 2010. But there is no finished product as yet, and she is still writing.

“The more she stays away from the UK and out of the public eye, the longer she is out of people’s minds. It is going to be interesting to see if anyone is bothered about the single after all this time.”

Another source adds: “The Girls are getting frustrated waiting around to see what she is planning to do. There is no way Nadine is going to leave the band – despite the ill feeling, it wouldn’t be in her interests to quit.

“But if Nadine’s album isn’t released by the end of this year, she will only be able to tour by the beginning of next year, which is when the others were hoping to bring out another Girls Aloud album. “Everything is in limbo at the moment.”

This album had better be worth the wait, Nadine..

Must be a slow news day to repeat this “news” again!

I know it may seem a little early to start thinking about next year, but it seems Sarah Harding and Cheryl Cole will both have solo calendars for 2011!
