Rihanna is set to star on Cheryl Cole’s new album.
The ‘You Da One’ singer is said to be a fan of the ‘Fight for This Love’ hitmaker and keen to team up with her on a track for her third album, which is rumoured to be due out in March.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s a big year for Cheryl. She can’t wait for her fans to hear the music she’s been passionately working on over the past 12 months.
“She has struck up a friendship with Rihanna, who recently duetted with Brit star Calvin Harris. Rihanna thinks the world of Cheryl and will work on a party remix with her when they meet up on her next visit.
“The album fuses pop, hip hop, soul and dance. It already has some party anthems on it but Rihanna’s would get everyone up on their feet.”
Cheryl Cole will release the first single from her third studio album in March, according to reports.
The Daily Star Sunday claims that the Girls Aloud singer is “putting the finishing touches” to the as-yet-untitled LP, and also believes it is her finest album so far.
A source close to the singer said:
Cheryl’s almost finished her third album and she’s confident it’s her best by far. She’s just putting the finishing touches to it before a release date is scheduled. But the plan is to have a single out by spring, possibly as early as March.
They went on to add: “Cheryl is thrilled with the album. She felt she rushed her second album in order to get it released in time. But she’s really taken her time for this one and feels so positive about the music.”
In October last year, it was reported that Cole was eager to work with hip-hop stars Eminem and Nicki Minaj on the follow-up to 2010′s ‘Messy Little Raindrops’ so she could produce a more “urban vibe”. A source said the album had “a real old-school flavour to it”.
Cheryl ‘unfollows’ Lily Allen after Girls Aloud tweet
Cheryl Cole and Lily Allen’s infamous feud seems to be back on, with Cheryl appearing to unfollow the Smile singer on Twitter after her tweets about Girls Aloud.
The pair famously fell out in 2007 when Cheryl labelled Allen a ‘chick with a d**k’, with Lily hitting responding by calling Cole a ‘stupid b***h’.
Cheryl looked to have buried the hatchet with Lily at Halloween, writing that the star looked ‘ridiculously cute’ when Allen posted a picture of herself holding a pumpkin with her baby bump.
But Lily was feeling less forgiving when commenting on the news that Sarah Harding could be charged with assault following her clash with boyfriend Theo De Vries.
Referencing Cheryl’s 2003 conviction for assaulting a toilet attendant, Allen wrote: ‘Wow 40% of Girls Aloud will have been charged with assault.’
Cole failed to challenge her nemesis directly regarding the comments, but wrote later: ‘I’ve been on here 4 months but still feel a little new to this.. What does this button do…???’
While there was initially confusion as to what Cheryl was referring to, it seems she was commenting on the ‘unfollow’ button.
Allen is now conspicuously absent from the list of people Cheryl is following on the social networking site, while Cole also re-tweeted a message which read: ‘Some people are like clouds. When they disappear, it’s a brighter day.’
She also appeared to thank fans who had blasted Lily in the wake of her comments, adding: ‘BTW My soldiers you do not f about do you…. LMFAO!!’
Cheryl Cole adds £80 sheepskin slippers to new shoe range
Stylistpick was forced to send out an email to customers after receiving complaints that Cheryl Cole’s new high heel range was faulty.
So the singer will be hoping that the addition of her sheepskin slippers won’t cause anymore unwanted controversy.
The £79.90 Cosie Toes have been launched today in collaboration with the online store.
The handmade white slippers, feature cute black and white spotted bows on them.
Stylistpick says CheThe slippers are made in Somerset, using wool from British sheep.
The sheepskin has been tanned in Devon from what the website says is the only remaining UK manufacturer.
The ribbons have been sourced from a 150-year-old Cheshire company.
‘The slippers are a very British affair,’ an advertisement for the footwear says.
‘Cheryl may be known for her heels but when she gets home she like to kick them off and relax in her slippers, so it’s no surprise to find a pair in her collection.’
Jessie J has revealed her admiration for Cheryl Cole as she believes that the Girls Aloud star is “a true survivor”.
The ‘Who You Are’ singer has met Cheryl on a few occasions and Jessie has praised the way that she handled her departure from the X Factor USA earlier this year.
Jessie J, who performed on the show this season, told Buzz magazine: “What I love about Cheryl is she’s a true survivor.”
The 23-year-old continued: “She’s so talented and she gets so much sh*t. She deals with it so well. Every time I’ve met her she’s been so lovely and sincere.”

Cheryl and Nicola were at Rihanna’s last concert at the o2 in London last night, and enjoyed the VIP treatment in their own VIP box.
Cheryl tweeted: “Just left @rihanna last #Loud concert. Amazing!! To put on 98 of the same shows like that and give your all takes something special. Congratulations on completing your tour @rihanna Have an amazing Christmas, well deserved break and another amazing year! #illdrinktothat X”
Rihanna responded to Cheryl’s tweets by RT’ing and posting “@CherylCole u are a sweetheart! Really!!! Thank you”
Nicola also tweeted “The last night of a tour is always special… @rihanna rocked it tonight!!! #RudeGirl”
